FA Cup draw - Gillingham vs Southend United

A team in the midlands away as I'm at Warwick Uni. Although I wouldn't be too keen on going to Telford again.

Telford...what a great away day!!!! It was brilliant....apart from the heavy steward and police presence (due to the telford "firm" apparently), paying pittance to get in, if i stretch my memory back laurent scoring....clarkey having a goal wrongly ruled offside, then missing a penalty minutes later...and a last minute equaliser against a non league team by JFC (deflected as well!)....followed by the epic journey home in the rain!

A game that had everything! (apart from a sending off or own goal)

I think we should withdraw from the competition as we've not got enough players.

If we get another couple of knocks & any of the loanees, were any to be fit or in the team, are not allowed to play in case they get cup-tied, we could be in deep do-do finding 11!

We currently have only one home game in November, which makes me think that Sunday's draw might be the most important first round draw we've had for a long time.

We currently have only one home game in November, which makes me think that Sunday's draw might be the most important first round draw we've had for a long time.

Before the 3rd round, each competing club will get 50% each of the Net Gate Receipts and, for the replays, each competing club will get 47.5% each of the Net Gate Receipts and the FA will get the remaining 5%.

For the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Rounds, 45% to each competing club from the Net Gate Receipts and 10% to the pool and, for the replays, each competing club will get 42.5% from the Net Gate Receipts, the FA will get 5% and the remaining 10% will go to the Pool.

A good weekend for me too, although I had vision of my miserable face being in a few newspapers when we were 2-1 down. I have never been so peed off at a game since letting in 8 at Palarse too many years ago!

The other half & I stayed up in Telford & headed to Ironbridge the following day, where I proposed on the famous bridge. To make things better, she said yes!! Going to the ground, staying in & going out in Telford, I saw no trouble & found the local friendly!
