FA Cup draw - Gillingham vs Southend United

DTS

The Business
Is it today?

If so who do you want.

I am going for Brentford away - Not that I want to go there I just think we might get them.

a cheeky home draw to either arsenal or liverpool given we have entertained chelsea and man u in recent times. as long as we're at home i don't mind too much.

Southend's very own Chrissie Powell is doing the draw along with England swing bowler Jimmy Anderson. If that isn't a recipe for ball-tampering, I don't know what is.

Want to smash a non-league side away from home.....

One of my favourite FA Cup away games is still Woking away a decade back. Was it Nathan Jones who scored in a 2-0 win?

Indeed, 2-0 with goals after 89 and 90 minutes

That was a real smash 'em up :tumbleweed:

Great way to win it though...........I remember them sliding infront of us fans and a few spilled onto the pitch.

We never smash anyone...but would'nt it be nice, get some Ryman Premier side and beat them 8-0 with Barney notching a double hat-trick

Can we have a series of crap teams to ensure our swift progression to Round 3, before getting one of the non-league teams that harbours hopes of a big tie, edging through against them before getting a fellow league one team in round four, and then finally getting Man U away in the fifth round, thus ensuring I get to go to the game. Not that I'm being a tad selfish, but when we have big games and I'm away, we get spanked (Donny last year)

Much as that sounds fun i'd rather have 8 1-0 wins in the FA Cup instead if its all the same  :support:

Both unlikeley.......Another Glam tie in the 3rd/4th rounds (if we get that far) against maybe Liverpool or Arsenal and a top 12 finish will do me for the season

I was one of those who spilled onto the pitch. I still have it on VHS, an old sky sports FA Cup special, with Jeff Stelling looking very young indeed. It was actually 1997 i think. We hadn't scored a goal in the FA Cup since Stan Collymore , before that one went in.

I'll look into trying to upload it to you tube
