I have thought about this thread a fair bit and read the previous comments. I don't know the character of this man and have only seen him a couple of sub appearances and the game against Yeovil.
I know we are short of money and Umbongo so we can not have players who are not going to be playing.
Is he versatile and multi role? I think not.
Will he get loads of goals? I think not.
Is he a potential winger with a good crossing ability? I think not.
On that basis, using the phrase of Dragons Den "I'm out".

He already played "behind the door" friendly match, so he should at least have match fitness topped up & full month training too, so he should be fit. I rather let him go, to make room for new forward who can offers something different to what we have. Cowen should go to place like Dartford or Braintree to get back playing and put himself back in shop window.

Takes more than one game to get match fit and without reserve games its hard to see how he will get to be fully fit.

Brown however does see him in training so will know whether he wants to keep him on or not.

There have been a few 'behind closed doors' games and I think he's scored in 2 or 3 of them. I only saw him against Yeovil and thought he did quite well, he looks like a Francis Laurent-type player who will excite people but also frustrate sometimes. I think he's worth keeping for a bit longer, he's powerful and has pace and skill which we lack. He played on the wing against Yeovil and I actually think that might be where he's more suited. Presumably he's cheap in wages and with the squad already starting to pick up injuries we need depth. But I'll trust Brown and Penney's judgement.
