So 263/5 at the close of play, was a tad dissapointed with the lack of runs from Westley & TDS, but I guess thats the beauty of the game.

I think if we can continue to bat through most of Tuesday and aim to achieve to get a 400 odd score on the board, it should put us on good footing, also for our bowlers as the weather cools a little from Tuesday evening through Wednesday.

I think I was more disappointed in Browne and Cook not pushing on further having got starts than Westley and RtD going early.

I'm really struggling to see us winning this. The bowling looks very light. Good enough to maybe bowl them out once but they'd be knackered if we enforced the follow-on and short of time if we don't. Am willing them to prove me wrong on this though.

I must admit my whole outlook has changed, pre season survival was my target but now there is a real title challenge! That said I don't think a draw here would be a disaster. With Porter returning and the incoming Amir our bowling attack is looking good after this one. Cook is going to be a big loss though! That said though Yorkshire lose more players than us to England call ups

In other news, Samit Patel has just scored a second successive First Class Double Century!

Looking good, I see another win coming if we bowl anything like. COYE.

Half our bowling attack have played just 10 matches between them. We're without both opening bowlers and that includes Porter who has carried our attack all season.

Plus we're up against it time wise. The run-rate is 1.5 runs an over less than at Guildford. It's going to be tough to win without enforcing the follow-on and enforcing the follow-on is probably going to exhaust our attack.

Basically it'll take something special to win from here.

With the in experience of the bowling, maybe the draw is a good result ,rather than lose the match and give points to the opponents.

Middlesex currently batting Yorkshire out of the game.

Hants have the upper hand in the other match, though.

We're now playing for the declaration.

Run-rate for the last 10 overs around a run a ball. An hour of these two should buy us more time for 20 wickets.
