Would be happy with 4 days of solid rain from monday lol

Have to agree, we can go out in style by beating Kent on last game
Be nice to see Napier hit the winning run or take the final wicket

Do wonder if he could be persuaded one more year, just to help the youngsters, it will be a tough season in top division and we need all the experience especially if IPL comes knocking on the door

we really have been superb this season.
many people, including me, were calling for an outsider to get the top job but it turns out we had who we needed right under our noses!
top work to everyone, we totally deserve the title this season.
i'd say it's probably the best Essex season i can remember

We have certainly peaked at the right moment with three innings victories in a row. Hats off to everyone at the club its been a top season all round and baring a catastrophe its div 1 cricket next season

Vey strong squad announced for this weeks game. Let's wrap up promotion and ensure Westley finishes highest run scorer and Napier wicket taker!

Yep, I'll have more than a keen eye on it today and as the weather looks set fair, I'm hoping to go along tomorrow.

Blowing away Glamorgan, already.

39-5

Three for Napier and Two for Porter.

Interesting Alastair Cook Isn't playing and Wheater and Chopra are both in the team.

57-5 now, but it does look as if the title will be heading to Essex .

Agreed....... What an annoying day, due to the loss of about 16 overs due to the kit man man getting stuck in traffic on the A12 and then the bad light.
Or perhaps it was a good thing in hindsight?? we seemed to be gifting them runs in the latter stages of the afternoon.

Also, Glamorgan's stubbornness to not just roll over and just hand us the title is starting to grate on me a bit now.

All credit to them though for the come back from 83-6 to 256-7 (at the end of play).

Hopefully lady luck will appear tomorrow morning & gift us with two wickets in the next 28 overs, to earn the maximum bowling points and have them bowled out for around 300-320, giving us half a chance for a decent run chase.
