Question English City or Town you would least like to live in.

Glasgow, most parts, infact all of them. Knowsley in liverpool comes close to the end of all steaming sh**holes.

Another vote for Hull.

Can't say there are too many places in the UK outside of London that I'd fancy living in.

Hull springs to mind as does Hartlepool but for sheer blood running cold breaking out in sweat at the very thought of even passing through the place.......

Andover.

I always thought Hull was an ok place..Hessle and Beverly were really nice...

um, Chatham, Gravesend, Dartford,....none of these are very nice. Basildon...always hated it.

Glasgow, most parts, infact all of them.

Again, NOT an English city.
True, there are absolute sh*tholes here but there are also some rather nice parts of suburbia and the city just got votes one of the Top10 city breaks in the world, so the sky high rate of council tax must be counting towards something.

Another vote for Luton for me seeing as it's the south's biggest hellhole, although most places north of Peterborough could be classed as awful too IMHO.

Another vote for Middlesborough, only driven through it but the best part was getting out the other side. Also most big cities I'd prefer to not live in, ok to visit but no to living in them. Infact it would be quicker to list the places I would like to live.

So, really, what we're saying here, that anywhere that has or has had some industrial history and is a relic to what this country great, are the most horrible places to live...FECK THE GOVERNMENT for not doing more to re-juvinate our national heritage!! ;p

Three-way toss up between Luton, Grimsby and Darlington. All vile.

Frankly I can't see myself living anywhere outside of the M25 in this country.

Kidderminster, have had the misfortune of staying there twice this year and save for the Severn Valley railway which passes through Kidderminster there is not one single redeeming feature I've come across. Everyone looks miserable, so many derelict factories and warehouses and an all round dump.

Handsworth in Birmingham or Smethwick/Oldbury in the black country. Dreadful in the sixties so cant imagine what they are like now.

middlesbro is one hell hole as is blackpool, blackburn is awful but the worst place in my view is south shield.

tilbury is not far behind.

South Shields?! What was it that turned you off? Was it the long, unspoiled beaches or the wide, green spaces?

I love that part of the world, though I have to agree with Dave that Sunderland is shocking. Going there is like discovering a primitive tribe who have based their entire culture on a discarded Goldie Looking Chain video.

Afternoon chaps,

I'd have to nominate Luton.
Luckily for me I've been banned from there for the forseeable future due to previous unpleasantness.
In my defence, it wasn't a prolonged assault, I just wanted a go on this disabled old womans motorised chair thing and she said no.

What was I supposed to do, eh? Just leave it? Eh? Leave it like some ****ing mug?
Sorry, but I'm not gonna take that kind of insolence from anyone.

Kind Regards

Redeeming features of Kidderminster centre around Aggborough and their catering.
