Hooper's never lived up to the hype. Let him go if he wants to.

agree about Hooper but very surpirsed about Francis. If it's a short-term loan move for fitness purposes then may be.

Great attitude shown by Flahavan there. If that reflects the mood in the camp when a player gets dropped, then it's good news. As for Francis, I agree that letting him leave would be a mistake. My reading of the article though is that he could be one player to go out on loan. He's short of match fitness, and he isn't getting a game, so why not loan him out with the option of bringing him back immediately if necessary (if the League rules permit)?

Permanent release. No.
Out on loan to gain match sharpness. Why not?

Quite agree - Hooper is not worth the hype.

I think he has potential, but we've never seen anything from him. Two goals in two years isn't really good enough, even though he has played few matches. He's just another striker who can't score goals.

Never really liked the way he stalled over his contract in the summer either. Greedy.

Yeah, let Hooper go, no point in keeping him if he doesn't want to be here.
As for Francis, I'd be more in favour of sending Gilbert back to Arsenal than loaning out Francis.

Well of course he isn't. Calling him the "next Freddy" and then only playing him 5 times is not conducive to anything other than disappointment. Anyway, you all know he's coming to us sooner rather than later, so it's probably time to start slagging him off and reassuring each other that he's not very good anyway :)

Let's all bare in mind though that the article also states that some players have rejected the bids made. Maybe Francis is one of those....?

You certainly need somebody at the moment! I would start with a huge Brick wall against Weeds on Saturday ..:finger: :p

He's just waiting 'til you drop to a level commensurate with his ability; shouldn't be long.

You can have our casts off by all means....

Francis mustbe pig sick...Lewis Hunt is mediocre and has been for 5 seasons now. I think he is a great squad player but not really good enough for a week in week out start.

Gilbert I think we all agree aint really anything special as yet. So what has Francis got to do???

I think on his day he is fantastic and certainly worhy of more football.

Ah, I love it when you've got no leg to stand on. Why not wait until 5pm on Sunday when you're actually above us in the table (as is inevitable)?

interesting - i wonder if there are some members of the squad with an unprofessional attitude to Tilsons selection policy - i.e. who think they know better than the boss -

Darryl is is obviously pretty mature about - but I wonder if some noses and egos have been put out by talented young professionals on loan from other clubs getting starts - and perhaps Tilson is letting some SUFC players know they can look forward to going elsewhere if they are not going to put there all in here -

a few months in Lge 2 might do wonders for some spoilt boys - and we get some of their wages covered as well -
