Dan Mooney

Really Dissapointing to see. I liked Dan and thought he had bags of potential. A real player was in there and something is stopping it coming out. Think Coughlin could be more professional about it and take a leaf from Maher’s book. Less said the better, just keep quiet and wish him luck if you’re happy for him to move on.
some managers only seem to know one way how to manage, with a rod of iron (kick their arse, drop them, publicly call them out, train with youth team) etc.

Coughlan did a interview when he first become manager and said he'd barely stepped through the door on his first day before Dan came up to him and said he wanted to leave, Graham didn't even know who he was at that stage apparently. So I don't really think you can be too disappointed in him for that. And actually Maher said something along the lines of 'we don't want anyone at the club who doesn't want to be here'. Remember we let him leave when we had like 1 sub on the bench so things must have been bad.

Or maybe he's a bit of a brat?

He isn’t.

He is a good lad, but had a lot of off the field stuff whilst here, which I’m assuming is still effecting him now. More to it than the people that just said he was “homesick” here.

Looking like a real waste of talent unless he can sort it all out, which I really hope he can.

Signed for Chester on a contract until the end of the season. Mooney previously played 35 games scoring 6 goals for Chester on loan from Fleetwood Town in 18/19.

When we signed Mooney I was genuinely excited. Put on one of the best performances at Roots Hall when playing against us. Looked a real prospect, I kept wanting things to kick off and he become the player we could all see.

Great to see he seems to be getting the confidence back and performing how he should be. Good luck to him, hope it continues and he starts enjoying football again.
