I know the Classic/Cannon is now a branch of Halfords (loved that cinema) but what became of the two cinemas that were off the high street? I can remember the ABC but not the other one....??

I'm probably wrong on this but sod it. I think the ABC is now a theatre, and the old odeon, which was down the road where starbucks is now on the corner of, has been knocked down and the uni is being built there in its place. I think.

That's right. The other one Smudge refers to has been jazzed up opposite Smith's.

All this talk of cinemas is way off topic - surely the mods should be screening these posts? I think it projects the wrong image if they don't. And it just opens the door for CS J to Reel in a few more fish........
