[Shrimp in a Kilt]

Disagree with you Einstien. This is part of the debate on the nature and manner of Supporting Southend, and I would argue that how our fans behave is a legitimate subject for debate on Shrimper's Chit Chat. In this instance, taking on board previous comments by Mods and Admins on what constitutes an appropriate type of debate I resisted the (strong) temptation to join in the flaming of CS J and instead tried to move the debate along using parody and humour. It also serves a purpose by giving not only those who are fed up with CS J a chance to make their feelings known without directly insulting him, but also a chance for those who are sympathetic to his viewpoint/style to show their support, and thus gives everyone a rough idea of the levels of support/disapprobation surrounding the discussion. Must say I am disappointed that this has been moved.

PS CS J's thread was locked because of the nature of the responses posted on it. Completely irrelevant to this post and its merits, or lack of.

Match Report on CS J:

Unless we drop him for the next game the players will stuggle big time... and I mean big time.

He seems to offer something on the Right Wing, including  considerable width, but he clearly doesn't understand the game, and though he makes himself available, whenever he is challenged he seems to hide, then appears somewhere completely different denying that he had ever called for the ball in the first place and blaming anyone but himself.

He struggles to keep up most of the  time, has no idea about team spirit, and I feel he  is too lightweight in the Tackle department, though I understand that is more than made up for elsewhere.

He is clearly not on the same wavelength as most of the fans, (though I think our Spanish Export may have his measure) and until he is shipped out on a free to a more deserving team (Wet Spam or Spurs should suit his style nicely) or returns to his prefered sport of Fishing, I feel we will struggle badly.

Fantastic post.

And well done to Einstein for moving it to the pub. Although this has everything to do with Southend United I'd have missed it unless it was moved here!

so this poll... 15% voted for me.. that represents 15% of the board.. hoy many members? i must have hundreds of supporters...

oh and everyone, next hom game i will be in the spread 3 hours before kick off.. please come in and make yourselves known, i will also be signing books and autographs..

and at derby, i will be making a special guest appearance at the game.. please once again come and speak to me..

but i cannot garuntee what type of response you will get due to busy schedules... i cannot garuntee your well being either..

I for one certainly wouldn't describe castration as petty.
