Contracts

Hasn't Ademeno already signed for Salisbury after joining on loan.

Ademeno is an interesting one. In previous years he'd have been released but he'll be an interesting test of Ron's determination that we can't let another Kightly slip through our fingers and so will give youngsters who have plateaued after signing a pro deal, a developmental contract.

Played well in the Testimonial I thought, one I've always felt could do well if given the chance.

Did he do well?

He looked to me to be flattering to deceive. Twisted and turned a lot, but seemed to lack a left foot. He got the ball in good positions an awful lot, but had very little to show for it in terms of a telling ball.

No, I honestly thought Ademeno did well, strong and purposeful on the run and deft with the ball. Move after move went through him last night.

So the way I see it:

Ademeno (Stay on a 1 year contract)
Furlong (Go)
O keefe (Stay)
Clarke (Stay!!)
Joyce (Stay)
Edited for my opinion. Joyce is good backup, great hair cut, lovely bloke, Ademeno has potential and just needs a chance, he did well last night and didn't look out of place against Derby, O'Keefe has potential and has impressed, Peter Clarke is fantastic alongside a good partner at centre back, Furlong is too old and not good enough for this level - a very poor mans Goater.

Ademeno (Go)
Furlong (Go)
O keefe (Stay?)
Clarke (Stay!!)
Joyce (Go?)

Frees up 3 players already.

Thanks for the bump!

Hasn't O'Keefe already signed a Professional contract extension. I'd like to see Ademeno and Clarke stay. If Masters is really as good as Revs says then I can see Joyce going.

I think Joyce will be off in the summer. His done OK on the occassions his played but we can't afford to have 3 goalkeepers on the books really. Now Masters' has a longer deal at the Club, and was brought with the future in mind. I'm pretty sure the plan with him was to be out on loan this season, then challenge Mildenhall next season.

Furlong has been offered a deal by Barnet apparently. No chance of him being here next season.

Didn't O'Keefe sign a professional deal not to long ago? Around the time of the Leeds game perhaps? Don't think his deal is up in the summer.

Ademeno will be off as well in my opinion. Appears to have done well on loan at Salisbury but hasn't really cut it in the first team squad. Seems to have been around a long time without actually making the next step up which is a shame.

Lokando will be gone. Tilly is rumoured not to be a fan of his attitude so can't see him lasting long.

Then it comes down to Clarkey.

I agree OBL, I too thought he had a very good game last night, most of our attacks went through him. He gave their right back a roasting, beating him time after time and invariably got his crosses in. I would like to see him given more opportunities to shine,

For all that purposefulness on the run and deftness with the ball, what did he actually do?

Can you think of any chances he created?

I think Ademeno had a good game in the testimonial. He sent 2 or 3 crosses fizzing across the goal mouth and looked more dangerous than Scannell with his wide play despite Scannell's goals. Could it be a possibility that Tilly is lining him up as a back up left winger for Moussa next season?

If Ian Joyce leaves I would pay his wages for him to stay, if he agreed to a mega pay cut. He is good back up, better than Masters and is a very professional bloke as well as being lovely!

Just to confirm, O'Keefe has a contract for another 2 seasons.

There were meetings with the management re contracts today, but I know nothing of the outcome.

Ademeno always has impressed me. thought he did well at Millwall away, ripped Chelmsford apart in the Essex senior cup all be it only really a friendly. Personally liked to have seen him given more a chance.

He had at least one goal attempt himself, and was putting crosses over for Betsy in the first half.

Joyce has just been offered another 1 year deal.

Hard to see where this leaves Masters: another spell out on loan?
