Wardy, you are spot on again!

They are scum and should be treated as such. although i am glad they have extra games to play, i'm gutted they are still in the cup.

I hope they now lose each game unitl they go out of existence!

Whilst I want to finish above the Farmers and wouldn't be that upset if they don't go up I certainly wouldn't want them to go out of business. They are a small club like us and their loyal fans just as dedicated. Maybe you are too young but I remember Anton Johnson! We small clubs should stick together when the chips are down.

Worryingly, I can't quite see where the Farmers will slip up. Remember Cambridge in 1991? They had a massive fixture backlog and we had points in the bag. Everyone assumed they would not cope and would drop points. They didn't. We did.
The only bright spot would be if Danns and some others are sold (surely bigger clubs must be interested) I bet money talks even louder at Layer Road than it does at Roots Hall.

I do indeed remember Anton Johnson (devious nasty scheister).....i also remember Cambridge and the thoughts that they would never win all those games....but they are now confined to history!

I hate Col Ewe as much now as i ever have and to see them anywhere close to us is vile. Going out of business would be harsh i suppose as it would be far better to be able to laugh at them in non-league obscurity.

On Radio 5 Parkinson was being linked with the Leicester job.

Tank, you going soft there was nothing harsh in what you said!
As far as am concerned, them going bust would make me p%&s my pants.
Looked at there website today about ticket sales and see they have made improvements to the ground this weekend with 2 new PORTALOOS.
I feel this is a good move for them as it will raise the value of the ground to around double what it is worth.
March 4th cant wait to wipe the smiles off their faces

Sorry sticking together with Col ewe is something I don't wish and if they were to ever go bust they so be it. I certainly wouldn't shed a tear. I can't imagine too many of their fans were feeling anything for us in the dark days of Anton Johnson. I too am old enough to remember him but I am younger than Shrimptank.

Kind of sad that you can't have some appreciation of what we've achieved over the past few months. It's "vile" us being close to you? Please, get some perspective on life eh?

18 wins out of twenty is astounding by anyone's achievements and I'm sure if Chelsea or Arsenal had done it, the nationals would have had a field day by now.

The cups won't provide a distraction because our focus remains on the league. Hence why we have made eight, ten and seven changes when we've played in the three rounds of the LDV so far.

Let's just have some praise, however begrudging huh?

if the country wants to give you praise than fine but you wont get any from me or most southend fans.
I dont care how many wins you got or what cups your in.
All i care about is southend results.
i still say i would rather beat you than go up because it means so much to me as i really cant stand you lot.
See you on the 4th

We had Davison, Chilvers, Brown and Watson out injured today, and Iwelumo should not have been playing as he was clearly still injured from last week.
All in all a very good result, although we have played a lot better this season and Derby were cack

Just keep up those injuries and bookings. This is all fine by me and then we will see the wheels come off the wagon big time.

You sad person.

I hate Col Ewe as much as anybody, but you have to give them some credit and I would rather lose 6-0 on the 4th March and go up than beat them and not go up.

Get some perspective, its the whole season that is important not 90 mins against them.

I think all those players apart from Chilvers will be back in a week or so, and he is only 2-3 weeks away from fitness again after a minor op.We also have Tony Thorpe to come back into league games, because he is cup tied for the FA/LDV comps.
We may still see Marino Keith back in action who has not played at all this season yet, and possibly Stephen Hunt who has only played a few games this season due to injury.
I dont think the Cureton thing is over yet, he could well sign up for us before next weeks deadline.

A very valid point, one game does not make a season!

His opinion seems quite similar to Orient's and Barry Hearn's views other recent seasons - as long as they beat us their fans were happy, no matter how mediocre they were all season. It is pathetic.

I had a very funny experience about a hour ago with Col******r...Wearing my Southend Jacket in the centre of clacton this evening....4 Col******r fans walk through about 17 - 21 years old....they see my badge and start singing

SAY WE ARE TOP THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP THE LEAGUE

Are they SO THICK that they dont even know what competition there playing in from one week to another

what a laugh that was

Then again the Col******r fans don't get much celebration so winning one game must be like going up for them
