Col U see off Derby

Lucas D

First XI
A good or bad thing?!

Personally I think it is a good thing as the further they get the more distracted they get with the League.

But what a surprise package Col U are turning out to be eh!

Danns chipped in with another two as well, he looks quality.

On a more positive note, Bristol City beat Swansea 1-0, but Hudds came back from 2-0 down at home to beat Oldham 3-2.

it can onl be good for us.Brentford winning as well. Means they will have more games = more cards = more injuries.

seconded

they're also in the area final of the LDV so that's another distraction for them

On the other hand, they're still on for the treble !!!

Just need to see a few injuries come into play for them and they'll fade away like they always do. The Shrimpers are going up with or without them......

good to see col ewe win

I hope they keep going in this comp as well as the ldv (as long as they get whipped in the final)

as long as they keep wracking up the games, making the remainding couple of months of the season jam packed it can only be good for the likes of us that are solely focusing on the league

lets hope they pull another smaller club out at home in the next round of the fa cup

also swansea have the distraction of a 2 legged ldv area final to contend with

happy days

these things can always go either way - the confidence may be improved cos they are playing well and winning games but then again fatigue can set in with them having to play so many games in quick succession

To all those doubters this week who laughed when I said I fancied Col U to win v Derby, I told ya!!!

Good for us, a draw would have been better but just imagine if they get drawn at Old Trafford, Highbury or Anfield that might really take their eyes off the L1 prize. Same goes for Brentford too!

why is everyone saying good result!!!!!!!!!
Remember they are scum who we hate and i for one never want them to get any kind of result!!!!!!!

Apparently Swansea were absolute pants today and with 1 win in 9 games, they should be more worried about getting to Tilly's old 52 points target for safety

With a bit of luck the same type of crap run will hinder Col Ewes drive for promotion, it's surely inevitable.

Come on you Shrimpers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good win, winning breads confindence, 18 win out of 20 now.
This was without our Keeper, both centre halfs, and central midfielder / Captain, all injured.Thre of the four could be back next week.

It's all relative: If Halford, Danns etc get suspended, injured or just plain knackered then that's got to be a good thing. No way in hell are they winning the damn thing!

I hope they get Brentford away in the next round and get stuffed, lose both legs to Swansea and drop down the league like a led balloon.
