However, it we really have to, please not to a round one (I know why they do it) but they all look the bloody same and are so so boring. The example Southend one given previously included!

I was thinking the same. If it had to happened, then not a generic, boring round one like every other team in recent years!

Personally The late sixties style of the current badge is the best .

Never a fan of changing things just for the sake of it and I like our badge, the only thing that makes me even consider it would be the chance to draw a line under our previous ownership and to look forwards.

Also very happy to stay as we are.

Vic brought in the yellow because of his deals with Laing Construction. Their logo was yellow, and their workers wore yellow jackets, and yellow safety helmets.

I like both of these directions, both an upgrade on what we have IMO. The retro one in yellow the best of the lot.

FWIW, I can't understand why we'd go back to royal blue permanently. It's generic and just the same as countless other clubs' colours. Navy is much more unique.

Now something like this is perfect modernisation. Would like to see 1906 added somewhere but other than that this would be lovely.

The more I think about this, the more I think it makes sense. The club need to leave the Ron days behind and we've desperately needed a change of perception, both in the industry and within the locality. A fresh touch up that's not a major change would provide that clear marker point. I'm in.

AI decided upon these designs.

Looks more like logos for a beer bottle. I'm assuming bottom left represents the Ron era with bottom right showing us thd light with the consortium.

Personally I'd bring back the Anchor but other than that, bring back the boot as there's a few places that have done tshirts on the cheap with that design

I know people that are very scared about the new AI revolution but going by mine and @North Wales Shrimper AI generated badges they cant even spell Southend.

I don't think we'll see Terminators walking the streets anytime soon

I must admit I like the current version. It is nice and simple, and not overly fussy. It has the Essex sabres, we play football, are by the sea and it infers our nickname. But I would like the year to be added as others had said.
