It's gotta be Cup fever. Consider this - we beat Hull, then draw and beat Stevenage, Rochdale and then those muppets Ipshite in the semi, to set up a final v Man City where I concede we might then lose but as City will be in the top four we will qualify for Europe. THen it's off to the continent with 17 games all the way to the Europa League final.

I'd take another season of League Two for that.

Here we go ...................

I would pick beating Chesterfield rather than a cup run. But I have a cunning idea, we'll say we'd rather beat Chesterfield and do so and then renege on the deal and beat Hull as well. Simples.

I wish to make a complaint - in all my time on here I have never read such blatent optimism and demand these offensive comments are removed:winking:

Oh but wouldn't that be a lovely dream - promontion, cup final, fossetts farm built, europe:stunned: ok leave out fossetts farm, at least the others are possible:smile:

I would take promontion every time, if I knew what it was:smile:

Well Hull's second string just got stronger. Looking very likely that they will sign Long and Jelavic (Providing Allam doesn't make good his threat and leave of course) and although both are cup tied, the likelihood is they'll play in one of or both games v. Palace and Norwich, leaving their current first team strikers available Fryatt & Graham. I think McLean and Sagbo played against Middlesboro? All this really means though, is that our victory and progress through to the next round will be all the more impressive.

Chesterfield will be right up and on this game AND with the best wills and intentions some of our guys might not be fully "at the races" for it. It will be tough.

Not Fryatt! His hat-trick against us at their place still haunts me. :'(

Fryatt is the fastest ever goal scorer. Scored in 4 seconds for Bradford PA in 1964.
Bradford signed him from us where he played 63 games and scored 24

Bit old to be still playing though....

Yep, that was my era!
Jimmy Fryatt (1970-71) was a fearless centre-forward and was best remembered as the player to score the fastest goal in a league game when it was recorded as four seconds from the kick-off in a match for Bradford against Tranmere in 1964. Jimmy played for Philadelphia in the NASL and was assistant manager at Las Vegas Quicksilver. He also worked a total of 13 years in casinos but now works on a golf course in Vegas as a mechanic, looking after the mowers and other machinery.
