Actually, RM was very good at including sell ons in his transfer negotiations.
Unfortunately, what he was also good at was “selling” them back to the club too meaning we missed out on some money back in the day for a guaranteed sum to help with cash flow problems. Once or twice, it was to our advantage as the player didn’t go for decent money, once or twice it cost us a bigger fee.

I don't know any Southend fan who's been asked that but you must of had it to say it. Maybe because Southend are more well known as a big name than Orient.
Must be amazing for you peaking as a mid table league 1 Club over the last 30 years. Got to be up there with the day you run Rotherham close as your biggest successes. Congratulations!

Rivalry aside, really happy to see Charlie Kelman doing well. Always looked a classy striker even at the age of 17 and losing him was a blow imo. Shame it's Orient he's scoring for though. Be surprised if QPR don't offer him something considering he's still young and they're not exactly firing at the bottom end of the championship. 17 goals in League 1 and counting not to be sniffed at

Speaking to a QPR supporter apparently they were trying to get Charlie back from the Orient but apparently the terms of his loan said he cant come back just yet.So it looks like its Orient gain and QPR loss.

I noticed he equalised after J Stokes had put Orient one down.
Apparently that’s 10 goals in his last 9 games and he’s on 25 for the season. A breakout season at aged 23.
Hope we have a sell on but that seems unlikely as Ron will have invariably gone for as much cash as possible up front. Still that cash will have played its part in ensuring we have a club today.
