CEO Forum Thursday March 13th.

I believe Tom said they was looking at going away preseason for a friendly etc, some what like they did preseason this time , Just looking at some beautiful grounds in the Faroe Isles , reckon the players and management would enjoy preseason training and some friendlies there, some really scenic grounds and look in good order too . Just a thought.
A Dutch trip would be good

That game you mention was when Man City brought down thousands of fans, I was working in Tilbury and a guy I worked with was City and told me to expect thousands he wasn’t wrong
If memory serves me we were 3-0 down , came back to 3-2 and Roget missed a sitter of a header to get an unlikely draw,
Think crowd was around 9,000 atmosphere was incredible
This was my first ever game, couldn't get a ticket so my dad brother and i watched from the gap between the south and east stands

what game you talking about ,Man city defeated us 1-0 on a quagmire of a pitch, it was an FA cup game and Man city went on to win the FA cup that year. crowd was in excess of 28000 .

The match @stewart is referencing is the famous FA Cup Fourth Round tie on 28th January 1956, during the first season at the current Roots Hall. The official attendance was 29,500. Manchester City goalkeeper Bert Trautmann said it was “possibly the finest performance” of his career.

There’s some information on the fixture here: https://www.citytilidie.com/latest/southend-v-manchester-city-fa-cup-4th-round-195556/
That’s very true about Trautmann he said in his Autobiography the Finest Save he ever made was in the Match against Southend United

The Division One (Championship) match, 29th October 1996.

Talking off youths and training our own ,as at the present we dont have a youth academy ,hopefully this will be up and running very soon and when it is maybe signing some off the cast offs from premiership and championship clubs to help ,we should also be looking at signing a few older ones that were castoffs from the upper echelon, im sure there would be plenty there with enough talent to do well for us given time, We just need to make SUFC attractive to them and their managers ., which i believe COSU are doing.
