Celebrity spotting

Went out with a girl whose dad was implicated in the Matrix Churchill affair. And I've been bought drinks by Spider from Corrie and Mo Mowlam.

Ha! Paul Simon bought me a pint once (and everyone else at the interval of his Manchester gig back in the mid-70's).

Not seen any famous faces for a while, different when I worked in London - used to see loads...

Keith Allen in a taxi
Joanna Lumley in a taxi
Suggs walking through Soho
Harry Enfield also, and Chuck D (public enemy), oh and Paul Weller near Tottenham Ct road station
Used to see Sol Campbell and Darren Anderton about when I live in Woodford
seen Nigel Havers buying boxer shorts in a shop on Oxford Street,

Ive been bought beers by John Barnes, he knew a girl I worked with... (Don't think his wife at the time knew about this, knowing this girl, not buying me a drink that is..)
also been bought a JD and Coke by Terry Venables, also met Trevor Brooking on a flight to England Italy away..., spotted him in our hotel bar later on and pounced a drink off him, even more funny - he was with Alex Ferguson - got a pic of me Alex and Trev somewhere, I looked like a proper football lout ! I was proper trollied too :dim:

Going way back when i was clubbing, I took a slash next to Jam Master Jay (Run DMC) in the gents at The Wag club in London,

More recently...

My son used to be in the same footie team as John Cornwells son

Oh, yeah... The most bizarre spot was seeing Afrika Bambaata, complete with Soul Sonic Crew in the Kebab shop at the top on Rayleigh High street, back in the day when we used to go to the hip hop events at the Pink Toothbrush..

my brother also spoke to Ice T in Websters Way, still amazes me how a tiny urban Essex club managed to attract these top old school hip hop stars at the height of their fame

Was stuck in a traffic jam on Christmas Eve last year... looked across to the driver next to me and who should I see?

Chris Rea

I was a cabbie in London in days gone by and I picked up a fare in Victoria and the passenger said "I want to go to Fulham but do not take me the direct route". I looked in my interior mirror and saw it was Elvis Costello.

I have just returned from the Caribbean and visited the BVI of Tortola - which has a couple of great beaches and great for snorkelling/diving.
Whilst on Brewers Bay (which is a non-tourist beach) beach we bumped into Gordon Ramsey and his wife whom I understand was holidaying on the island and were there to do some snorkeling.
Never really liked the man tbh and still don't

I bet that you were surprised that he didn't want to go to Chelsea, but I suppose Fulham had its Attractions.:smiles:
