Celebrity spotting

The guy with the funny mustashe from Masterchef outside Sainsbury's on Old Street roundabout last Friday as I walked to Farringdon station.

Gary Deegan walking from his car to his flat in Leighton Avenue after training. God he's frightening.

I can add a Deegan sighting to this - met him in Southend High Street yesterday. Even though he is clearly the most terrifying man in creation, I managed to summon up enough courage to approach him as he was waiting outside a shop........... and he was absolutely brilliant. Perfectly happy to chat, made a fuss of my dog, was asking about our trip to Wembley and our previous trip there and spoke about the disappointment of the final game of the season. In the end we apologised for bothering him and left to let him and his girlfriend enjoy their day, but to be honest, I think he'd have been happy to stand around and chat for longer - cracking bloke who gets my highest accolade - a double thumbs up.

Oh, on the same trip we also saw Will Atkinson and Agent Lomas - a great day for Southend celebrity spotting.

Many moons ago, Spencer Prior at Barleylands farm shop, browsing through the parsnips. I'm not joking.

Talking of many moons ago, I saw Keith Jones getting off the same train as me down from London at Westcliff station before a Saturday game sometime in the '91-92 season.

Did a 60 mile charity bike ride last Sunday and was overtaken by Paralympic champion Danny Crates. Had a brief chat and a thoroughly nice chap he is too.

Celebs are pretty thin on the ground up here darkest Yorkshire. The best I can do is some Huddersfield Giants players at the bookies near where I work.

My sister lives in the same town as Mark James but we have never seen him, and John Helm lives in my village, but again no sightings so far.

Posh violinist from Britain's got Talent just sat next to me on tube.

Close the thread. That can't be beaten.

As I walked through MK Station to get my train home I saw this greasy old tramp with lanky hair - then I realised it was Pete Winkleman. Urgh.:sick::sick:
