Has to be Elvis. One of my very first memories as I was only five, and it wasn't so much the death of the King that got me, but the reaction of my old man. He had tears in his eyes and was genuinely upset to lose this guy who'd been his idol since he was a teenager, and it made me see that Dad wasn't always the uncompromising b'stard I usually saw. The next time I saw tears in his eyes? Benji. Bury. Net.

Now call me a hard nosed old barsteward but I can honestly say, hand on heart, that not one, not one single celebrity death has ever brought a tear to my eye or caused me to get emotional. The closest I have come to it is with the whole Diana brahooha. My view is.....ohhh shame, never mind, had nothing whatsoever to do with my life, move on.

Same here, I felt genuinely sad when I heard Sir Bob passed away though.

I was shocked when I found out Cobain died because I had only just started listening to Nirvana as time went by and I found out more about him I felt sad that he died when he did.

Its weird as usually when a celebrity dies, it just a case of so and so has died and thats that. Eddie Guerrero (excuse spelling) was a bit of a shocker as was Chris Benoit (especially the way how he died).
