C2C ****ed. Again

I will take privatisation over its BR predecessor thank you. I very clearly remember how bad the services were in the early 80s.

Anything gets better if billions of tax pounds get thrown at it. You would have got the same result (and probably greater value for money) if you'd let British Rail manage it rather then spend absolute fortunes on contracting companies as Railtrack/Network Rail did and still do.

I'm not sure about that.

The private sector seems to be a lot more efficient - for example you don't see C2C employees racking up 30,000+ posts during working hours.

Ahem, you're inflating my total, I'm only Mr 25,798 posts (now 25,799) Yorkshire Blue to you, that's about a quarter fewer than you in 2 years more.

I would just like to play devils advocate having posted less than 900 times in 7 years :winking: and being a driver for C2C and not having time to use the internet as frequently as MK as i am usually stuck on the mainline somewhere with a stranded train (caused by NR or Bombardier):whistling:

Really? Oh dear they have lost the plot the last 2 weeks.

What is it this time ?

Saved by working from home again...

There was a failed train at West Ham (door fault) can we blame MK? Also some ******** trespasser who was playing chicken from the safe cess :dim:
Not a good couple of weeks for us but i can honestly say it IS all Mk's fault as before the 15 year extended franchise was mentioned everything was running ok :smile::smile:

The first of those wasn't exactly c2c's fault either, from what I hear. Someone forced a train door open & broke the thing.

unfortunately it happens all the time, super heroes holding the doors open for their friends/late runners etc not knowing how easy it is to break them and cause a tonne of problems for the driver (i know your heart bleeds). I would say 99% of the people who use the service are a pleasure to take to and from work/shopping etc but its the 1% who assume the train is THEIR private taxi service and can do as they wish, ie holding doors open or pressing the alarm because the toilet door wont close grrrrr .:dim:

Praise for c2c tonight from a greater anglia commuter! Remind me why do I pay more for older trains with no A/C Abellio ?..what stupid name?
