C2C ****ed. Again

An the impact on Greater Anglia having to cancel services to accomodate a different TOC? Maybe in the days of British Rail that may of happened.....:whistling:

People on that line are used to cancellations, c2c customers are not, therefore they should just accept it and let c2c in.

In my job, if something went wrong due to an intermittent fault, I would be getting told to make sure Plan B was in place in case anything else was needed.

It all just seems a bit "make it up as we go along".

Doesn't matter though, they're locked in for 15 years and if they give everyone a cream egg everything will be better.
Are you saying that C2C pay their staff in cream eggs? Where do I sign up?

HAving a mare at the moment arent they.

Luckily I can just go to stratford and up to Prittlewell so not too bad, but still have to go get the car....

Not a NR fault this one, it was due to a faulty train. :raspberry: No doubt C2C tried to spin it as a NR problem......

The train failed at Southend central but it was due to power problems which caused LCM and MCM problems........Bloody NR (MK):smile::smile:

Nothing to do with a faulty unit drawing too much power and making the breakers trip then..... :whistling:

Non Railway People - this is like what REALLY goes on, at huge cost, to establish who's to blame for you delays!

C2C have been poor the last few weeks.

I assume that cancelling their trains helps to ensure that they maintain their high percentages of trains on time!

Nothing worse than waiting at the end of a day's work to get on a train only to find it is rammed, has shorter carriages, the air con doesn't work and the staff are adverting the delayed trains as stopping at stations that the train isn't stopping at!

It really hasn't been good at all as a Limehouse user. To make matters worse when they handed out chocolate bars to C2C users recently as an apology they did so at Fenchurch St and therefore I was not a recipient. It's reputation has been damaged in local circles recently.

You can always use a different train company....oh hang on you can't. #renationalise!

It's ok, I'm getting £13 back to cover the three days last week where I either couldn't get home until late.

*****.

How would nationalising it give people more choice?

Personally despite a bad week for C2C they are still one of the best services I use.

That's the entire crux of it. Privitasation was and is an absolute sham because there is no choice. On most routes - such as the C2C - it's a monopoly. If there was one company running the whole caboodle your fares would be cheaper, as you wouldn't have to pay out shareholders and people doing exactly the same job in C2C and NR.

I will take privatisation over its BR predecessor thank you. I very clearly remember how bad the services were in the early 80s.
