A good win but lets not completely discard Hall Ferdinand and Dickinson who all played a major part in getting us into a promotion possibility.
I accept the discipline issues, but they can be forgiven once fully penalised.
Mohsni is a different matter, and in my opinion was the source of most discord.
Crawley have weakened their squad with selling but are still useful:smile:

Wouldnt want that - I dont mind Dicko getting back onto the bench, but nothing more. Winning team is important and sounds like Sampson worked hard today and I'm pleased Harris is back in. Keep those front 2 for now and let Dicko fight to get back in after being dropped.

That will send a good message out not only to Dicko, but to the rest of the squad.

it seems like the players that came in today really decided to take the chance ti impress the gaffer, a big chance to be part of something special (promotion run in and all that) just hope we can carry the attitude through to monday

True I was not advocating it just as has been mentioned elsewhere the likes of Dicko and Hall will still have a big part to play in the run up. Sampson, like Benyon, needs a goal so guess you can argue he wont get one sitting on the bench.

Would Creepy be Sampsons last game for us, Im sure we only extended for another month.

I would bring Hall & Dickinson back to the bench for Monday, punishment served today I think, but defiantly start with the same 11 if possible.

One swallow and all that. I don't see a win over Burton as the panacea of all our shortcomings. If we lose to Creepy on Monday and Gillingham win on Tuesday, plus their game in hand, they're only 5 points behind. That's 5 points from dropping out the play off places.

Jeez how pessimistic. Its not one swallow, we have won 3 out of 5 now.

You are banking on Gillingham winning 4 games and us winning none for that to happen. Before today they had 7 points out of 6 games, the same as us.

We have now won 3 out of our last 5 games. On that form that wont catch us.

What a difference a day makes.

Wasn't so long ago it was all doom & gloom.

This is some rollercoaster of a season. Oh to be a Blues supporter! :loyalsupporter:

Which is one of the reasons I renewed my season card earlier today, we may be good, we may be bad, but we are never ever boring.

Great result today just hope we beat creepy on Monday and life becomes good again.

No, no. I'm just not getting carried away with a win at Burton. Now, a win over the tin-pot Conference muppets on Monday and I will feel a LOT happier - especially as I live in the town!!

An hour before KO I fell out of the back of my van in Toulouse, landing on my back and head, with a piece of furniture (display cabinet) on top of me! Still managed to tune into BP and understand that the breaks in commentary, wasn't me lapsing in and out of consciousness. Delighted with the victory .....another step, at least, towards the play-offs, although I'm still remaining rather cool. Oh!........if I repeat this message in the next hour, could someone call me a doctor. At the least, I'm expecting to feel pretty rough in the morning.

Thanks for the concern Shallow and Col.U. For peace of mind I went to the Emergency in Saint Gaudens last night and a X-ray and scanner just found bruising. We're a tough breed , us Southend United supporters! Still didn't stop the wife going on a bit about it being time for me to stop the job...............and do what??? .........become a full time Blues supporter?

Glad your ok yogi, you carry on as you are mate, being a full time blues fan will definitely be bad for your health, but I suspect you already are.
