Fingers crossed for Luke that he gets something lined up. If he doesn't then it's not his fault that PB enacted the clause to auto extend his contract in the summer

As always it impossible to please anyone determined to see the negative.
His statement to me is entirely sensible. If Luke wants out then in his view his agent needs to up his game. No doubt because if he's going sooner would help as we might then have time to bring an extra body in. Logical.
He also says if he ends up staying then not a massive issue- no doubt because we don't want to appear desperate to off load him and have offers where for example we pay part of his wages. And if he leaves it much longer and there is no time for a replacement then actually we might be better off him staying.
Plus the mega whinge is we are never told what is going on- so he tells us and shares an entirely logical view, result mega whinge. If I was him I would be tempted given he can't win to never tell us anything at all- people would still be unhappy but PB would have a few more hours each month to do something more productive..

Sounds to me like what he is saying is that if luke wants to leave then his agent should sort things out and quickly for all concerned. And he is also saying that if he stays and wants to stay then he is happy for him to do that as well.

That's my take anyway

Mixed messages here Mr Brown
One minute Pross wants to leave, next your telling us his agent isn't working hard enough to get him out.
Strange what you have been telling CP to print in the press!

no mixed messages, read between the lines - you cant say its the right time to move on nd he needs a fresh chapter in his career and then say its not a problem if he stays. taken at face value it simply doesn't make sense. As Kevin Keegan said 'I would absolutely love it ' if circumstances meant Prosser got called up last minute on Saturday (barrett gets a cold or something minor) and he has the game of his life. So good even DTS gives him some credit ! Although if he got two assists the match thread would still say his distribution was crap

The difference between prosser and deegan is we have other players who can do what prosser does, but we don't have another player who can do the role deegan can do, the dirty work of breaking up the play, getting stuck in and being the rock it so called "hard man" in the middle. Can be valuable in this league on those northern trips when other players might not fancy it.

We are competing In the top 3rd of league 1, which in my opinion is vastly different to league 2. Of the teams I've seen this year most had a midfield that were comfortable on the ball and able to retain possession well. I don't see Deegan as this sort of player, in fact he's a weak link for me when he plays. Move him on Phil.......
