Sorry I had my doubts from the start, and had doubts through this season, but success comes from stability, do we really want to start from scratch again? The last 2 months have changed my opinion and there is no doubt that when the right team is picked, and they want it, we are hard to beat and hard to score against.

Brown has been backed by Martin, but financial backing doesn't always mean promotion. Burnley won promotion to the Premier League last season, but had the second lowest budget in the division from memory.

Yes yes if only we had played our two 20 goal a season forwards back in August. Its obvious the team that score the most goals are always champions. Look at Carlisle they have scored more goals than us. I know Keith Curle for manager.

Not at all.

Something happened at the club recently where we suddenly play 442 with proper forwards in that role, most on here demanded 442 and guess what we have gone on the best run since Phil arrived here..strange eh?

Why do we have a God given right to win promotion from this league? Embarrasing "fans". I think the majority of haters only go home games and are frustrated becaused they haven't seen loads of goals...try an away game "fans"

I can't be bothered to read the thread as I was at the game but assume there were some people moaning at Westons substitution from there computer. Played very well and played his part in our goal. If when brown makes subs that do not work he is "tactically naive" then does yesterday's substation make him a "tactical genius"?

You mean like Stevenage, Luton, Wycombe?

I Wonder if you really go to games ?

It is best to wait until the end of the season to discuss how good or bad Brown has been as our manager. As others have said, things have got better since he started playing with two up front.Things have also improved since the best two centre backs Barrett and Bolger have been playing together. Yet they couldn't even get on the bench at times when Brown kept persevering with Thompson and Prosser. If they hadn't got injured would he have changed things? I am still not convinced with his team selection and most of his signings but then it is harsh to dish out too much criticism given where we are in the table. Let's hope that he ends up a hero rather than a villain.

3 local away games...congratulations loyal supporter :clap::hilarious:

You are hilarious. You were talking about seeing loads of goals away. How many did we see at these games and how many of these games did we win.

Just for the record, I have a wife and 2 children to support so my away games are limited now. Go back 20 odd years though and I was at grounds such as Newcastle's St.James Park, Huddersfield's old and new ground, Swindon and even Fiorentina (that's in Italy by the way) to name just a few. So you carry on mocking whoever and whatever you want but it means absolutely nothing to me or anyone else on here.

Are you happy with the amount of goals we have scored this season and the formations we were using up until a few weeks ago?

Like most situations in life you get what you pay for. PB was not allowed to singe the two strikers he wanted last summer or the CB who could score from set pieces. So to me it was obvious that we were not going to set the division alight in the goal scoring department. Then you add the fact that our delivery and shooting by the rest of the team was shockingly poor on many occasions, which had nothing to do with formations. Our recent good run is more to do with the rest of the team finally doing their bit than the two forwards.

We are playing 442 now but neither Cassidy or Pigott have scored for weeks. Maybe, just maybe it's that the players as a unit feel more comfortable playing 442 and by playing that formation, they have the confidence to go out and win games. Maybe we didn't need that magical 20 goal a season striker or the CB that scores goals from set pieces, we just needed to be playing the formation the team were happy with.

Rubbish !

2 genuine forwards wil allow the ball to remain in the opponents third, the lone forward cannot retain the ball.

Phil signed the players on loan/contract so you cannot blame anyone else.Phil even managed to mess with young William's head.

How comes we looked so unhappy and lost points before Christmas when we did play 442. By the way do you not think if Elliot Lee had avoided injury we would have been playing a different formation earlier.
