Agreed, but as 4th/5th choice they're not going to get that much game time, and with a bit of talent might be able to produce something extraordinary. I think the previous times we've signed these young kids they've been 1st or 2nd choice (Woodrow, Loza, Pigott etc.) and that never worked for me. I guess though we might struggle to attract decent quality if there is no promise of anything than warming the bench and the odd 5 minutes here and there.

I can see that. But the option of keeping Mooney or pushing McGlashan centrally for 15 - 20 minutes sounds better to me. Sorry.

Surely if we're going to put "Kids" on the bench as 4th/5th choice, we'd be better off putting our own youth team players in and giving them experience, rather than some premiership player? We keep hearing good things about our youths but rarely see them given a chance, perhaps because they're not good enough, but neither have some of the premiership loanees been!

Fair point!

Last season we had King sitting on the bench while Bridge was sitting in the stands, i know who i would rather was gaining experience.

Based on last season unfortunately neither of them- King not bothered about. Bridge saddens me- he or his agent think he should be playing regularly/at a higher level. Regrettably this does not seem to be widely shared. I suspect also there won't be a long queue of league clubs trying to buy him. So if I was him I would change his number without telling his agent, tell PB/GC he's desperate to prove them wrong, get super fit and start pulling up trees. Or like many many before he will find himself at Chelmsford or Maidstone permanently.

Yes hes been stupid off the pitch and done some crazy things but as long as he performs on the pitch and is playing football thats all i care about! And the football team will win more games and push for promotion with nile in the side fact!!!

Fact..end of...fact...end of....
I do so love these absolute statements...that mean nothing at all.... does it remind you of anyone?

Talking of Ranger, is there any update since his incarceration?

Where he is being held,
Whether there is an appeal,
If there is the prospect of early release,
is he eating properly,
has he made any new friends
is he keeping himself in shape,
or is he bang on the spice and planning his next sting...

Yeah.

Nietzsche's Ubermensch is a very good guide to the ability of the will to overcome everything else. To overcome the limits of intelligence, surroundings and circumstance. Free Will is the moment that man replaced god as the final arbiter of his actions. :stunned:

he's right you know.

Nile Ranger's Instagram account published what looks like a personal tribute to Chiek Tiote. This either means he's out on licence (which is good news) or he's smuggled a smartphone into prison (which is bad news if he gets caught)!

or someone else has access to his IG while inside.
