Had a chat with a family friend this afternoon who is in a good position to make such a judgement and he tells me Phil Brown has applied for the job at Sunderland. My Opinion is if he has, and I wouldn't normally question this friend in question, then I don't think he will get it. Honestly what I have been told.:smiles:

to be honest, I don't blame him! The Sunderland boar are in such a mess at the moment that he's likely to be taken as a serious candidate along with Mickey Mouse, Peter Griffin and Big Ears. I don't really blame him considering he has a chance (no matter how slight) to manage a favourite northern team in the top flight. Wouldn't any L2 manager trade their team to manage a Prem team?
