That's my point, so why play him? We will learn nothing from his performance against a part-time side as @Yorkshire Blue states, so it serves no purpose.

I think we should keep the rhythm and momentum and not change too much.
As said, he needs game time.
Blimey! If he can't do something against a side three tiers further down, he ain't gonna!
Also said was we need a decent lead before he gets on. It will lessen the pressure of proving himself.
As said to the power of three, I don't know why he hasn't gone out on loan already given the pecking order you described.

On the basis we are going to play on artificial surface will most likely bear on team selection. If every one is ok to play then we should stick with the team that started against Halifax to continue team solidarity.Once we get into a decent lead then changes can be made.We shouldn't make wholesale changes to the team Brentwood will have advantage on playing on an artificial surface dont give them any more advantages

I really hope we go for it in this competition. Yes the league is important but its a realistic chance to play at Wembley and win a big shiney cup, and lets face it when have we ever done that before. Essex Senior cup god knows how many years ago is the only one I can think of. I mean even Canvey and Col Ewe have won the FA Trophy for pity sake.

I was also at the 10-1 victory but the following season I went to watch Brentwood Town in the FA cup play Northampton Town. An evening game played in atrocious conditions with the winners drawn against Manchester United. Brentwood lost 0-1 and Northampton progressed into the next round to play in a famous game where George Best rounded the goalkeeper twice before scoring.
The draw had already been made and it wasn't against Man United. The winners had to travel to Tranmere to earn the privilege of having George Best score 6 goals past them on his return from a 28 day suspension.

I get the argument for playing our strongest XI, but don’t agree that we learn nothing from good performances against Brentwood. It’s all about confidence and form. If Wood and Waldron both go and get a couple of goals each and KAF runs the midfield and gets a few assists under his belt, that’s then three seemingly out of favour players who are back in the conversation. Given our recent slump, we surely need as many of these lads as possible giving genuine competition for places?

Can a plastic pitch (is it plastic?) flood?
I have seen 3G pitches flood before, but unlikely if installed and maintained correctly. Biggest concern will be for those attending! ☔💨

Not to mention Dagenham, Grays two years in a row and, most recently, Hornchurch the year after Concord were losing finalists.

Gone for a greatly changed side as I’m not sure Kev will be taking this cup seriously again this year. Can’t see either Bim or Walker starting but I hope both Wood and Win get a start that being the case. I think if we’d lost to Halifax this game may have had more importance.

Confidence should be high after last week so I expect comfortable win 😬.

Gus on Insta is asking if anyone has tickets for Winter Wonderland Saturday. Asked for the 4-7pm slot. Doubt he will be playing, has to be George Saturday

For me the one essential is that Bonne starts and scores at least a couple of goals to break his duck and set him on the way to 15 goals by the end of the season.
