I don't quite know how to interpret your use of the word safe.............safe until kick-off???? I don't think that I have rarely felt more unsafe as a Southend supporter. Am I weird to find it strange that anyone can be really looking forward to tomorrow night, with the present state of our squad?

in terms of the game going ahead. As for a result? I don't bet.

'Marc Laird faces a late fitness test ahead of Southend's midweek cup tie'

I'd love to believe it!................can't see it.........and if the hamstring injury was less serious than thought, shouldn't he be rested for Plymouth on Saturday?

As far as our players showing lack of respect..........just an imaginary device in order to gee up his players tomorrow.......as if they needed it.

does anyone think that there may be a chance of bentley starting tommorrow because he is young, crowd pleaser and will have no fear to try and make a name for himself

I don't think he'll be back any time soon, but the BBC also says he is facing a late fitness test? Surely a pulled hamstring would put him out for at least 3 or 4 weeks?

I see that Brentford are advertising the fact that tickets for the Chelsea game will go on sale immediately after tonight's game (if they are successful). They are rightly very confident about the game. I would so love to prove them wrong but alas I feel this may be one game too far!

Well if they are right Dazzaref....that would put to bed the previous thread about Glory hunting fans / trophy seekers in the Roots Hall car park after the Plymouth game on Saturday?
Alas, I think it would also knock Saturday's attendance figures for six
