If he goes who do we play in goal Paul Smith or buy a new keeper
Stephen Bywater has been released by Millwall.

Yeah I was thinking the same :thumbsup:Stephen Bywater has been released by Millwall.
Yeah I was thinking the same
Might have something to do with his West Ham past, classic Millwall that is. Very selective 'bunch'.I know a few Millwall fans who are glad to see him go, one said worst goalie he has seen there for 30 years, so its a no from me
Bentley does remind me of Hart, I find it quite comical how he seems to model himself on him but it's not a bad thing, he's a good example to follow. The potential is definitely there. I've seen him play only three times, yet can see that he'll go far. Good luck to him. Let's hope both player and club get the right deal, with no regrets.I compare Bentley with Joe Hart when he was at Shrewsbury he went to Man City for an initial 250k, Hopefully we can get an initial 1 million for him with add ons!
David Button is a very decent keeper and only 25 so Bentley could have a very long wait indeed to get regular game time and then a sell on clause would be unlikely to bring us much.Do you really think he'd be No 1 ?
If I were a keeper that had contributed to my side being 5th in Championship , I'd be pretty annoyed / surprised if a 21 year old from L2 took my place
He has managed his finances poorly so his future lies entangled with the club's and its spiralled into both losing out and he cannot afford to walk away.
Sure there are money problems with a lot of lower league teams but the majority haven't been issued with winding up orders.
Are you suggesting that most owners have done the same....or maybe I'm not delusional?
Back to my original point I believe Brentfords owners have done a lot more for their club than Ron has for us. Do you not agree?
RM is many things, but actually if you look at the business he has done in selling our players in recent years he has done well in my opinion, especially in terms of including add on's and sell on fees. He won't be sold on the cheap.
Brentford are a good club..but I fear that in two or three years time Dan would be running out for a league game at Roots Hall with his Brentford team. And that is not with us in the Championship!
In todays Daily Mail, we have turned down a bid of £500,000 for Bentley from Brentford.
