On their forum, they are giving it a 50/50 chance, but the ref is making regular pitch inspections and is happy with it at the moment. Some think that the ref would call it off if they were playing a local club down the road, but taking into account the distance Southend have travelled, he is keen for it to go ahead.

No doubt, the pitch will be cut to pieces by the 2nd half, if the rain is as bad as it sounds.

Delayed decision to 1-45pm and it looks bad with tarpaulins in goal mouths and a corner.:'(
Will be amazed if this gets the go ahead.:nope:

Not looking good to be honest. I think it will be called off. Heavy rain is expected in the Bradford area until 6pm, so it's not going to get any better.

The annoying thing is that they would have known about the heavy rainfall since yesterday, so they could have called the match off yesterday afternoon / evening, and saved our fans a long and wasted journey. It's them poor souls I feel sorry for, if it is called off.

Happens every Winter, doesn't it? Maybe someone with a bit of common sense could be employed in reviewing match fixtures!

Bradford fans now convinced it will be called off. The rainfall radar shows heavy rain for several hours more for those tykes.

My mate who has gone up there just told me game off. What a shame for our fans who went up there

Just come off the M1 where it has not been pleasant travelling* - it's not really heavy rain (as per Bury) but it is persistent and has, according to others, been going all day and it was sleet earlier on.

Time for a cup of tea :smile:and wait for the outcome of the inspection.

*I knew I should have gone by train ............

Yep not nice for the fans that travelled today. Just by luck I couldn't go today anyway. Will probably be able to make the rearranged game whenever it is, but quite a few wont be able to go now as that means another Tuesday night away game for us this season then!!!!!!!!

The clubs and the league have little, or no regard to fans and in my opinion they would be happy if away fans never turned up.
Sad that such a well supported ex premier league club has such a poor pitch.
Bradford could surely have paid for an inspection yesterday, and why the decision was delayed this morning is a farce.
