Think it was Gillingham that snatched the draw.

But yes a win on Monday and a couple of other results going our way would all but secure a play off spot? Not sure about our chances in the play offs though, we will need to up our game, forget about all the talk before the games and do it on the pitch!!!

Close to zero I would say if we continue to play like we have for recently, bar the Chelts game.

You're right about the Gills - it was difficult to see my screen through tears of frustration.....

Still, that's all over with. Onwards now to thrash Wimbledon and secure our play-off place.

if I am a tool you are a pneumatic drill. It's not about Benyon it is about his management over this season.

So why slag Sturrock off in the same breath as moaning about Benyon getting sent off? Make 2 different points and have a good argument to back up your opinion.

From what I heard on the commentary, Mohsni didn't seem to know where he was playing in the 1st half. I would suggest some work is put in to him playing at right back between now and Monday as, although I know Granty has played there for us before, I would rather he was back in the middle with Timlin. I think it was a poor decision to start Hills who was clearly not fully fit despite having apparently passed a late fitness test, Prosser should have been there from the start and Phillips in the middle.

I just hate the abject capitulation from so many on here when things go pear shaped. From the off Bradford were all over us, and you have to give them credit for coming back from the position they were in following on from the Crawly debacle - we unfortunately got on the end of a backlash from that incident. Time for some serious re-grouping before Monday...at least let's hope that will see Harris and Freddy start up top together. Clarkson and co have their work cut out though.

Sorry , I haven't read through all the comments on this thread so maybe repeating something ( apologies if that's the case ).
From listening to the game on the radio , it was clear that the performance sounded awful ( even allowing for two men being sent off ) , but I just wish that the assessment of the team and Sturrock was kept in perspective and not drastically changed game by game..
Beating Cheltenham 4-0 doesn't make us the best team in the Division , and losing 2-3 to Bradford doesn't make us the worst.
We don't play great football , but if someone said at the start of last season we would 'stay up' in the first season and make the 'play offs' in the second , I would have settled for that , and sure many others would to.

So sorry to make more than one point in a single post if that proved too much for you to comprehend. The Benyon point was an exclamation and in no way connected to my call for the manager's dismissal I which I have been calling for since December, when I recognised the writing was on the wall. As for your red rep I suggest you look through most of your posts before calling mine pathetic.

I'd back you up on the dismissal front, I know our former poster Interpol is of the same way of thinking.

When we play 4-5-1 away against a side 20th in the league table and even lower in the form table, and keep everyone bar Eastwood back in our own half when they have the ball, that is down to the manager's negativity. There is no adventure or attacking intent from the touchline.

Valid and truthful post. Unfortunately i cant see Sturrock ever changing his belief that this is the formation to play, irrelevant of the opposition. This will bring about his inevitable downfall, possibly accelerated if we are still in this division next season.
I cannot recall any past season when we've been in the top 6, when the football on offer has been so uninspiring and dour.

You look back at your post. The comments seems rather inter linked. Had Benyon not been sent off, we had won or drawn, would you still be calling for Sturrocks head? It seems you don't like Sturrock. I think he has done well again under tough circumstances. He has years of experience in the lower league with plenty of promotions so I trust him

Will you still trust him if we don't get promotion (via the play offs) this season? I rather suspect RM won't. :winking:
