my opinion is you pay your money you choose how you support the team, Im certainly not agreeing with it, but some of the differnet ways of passion actually make for me the 'whole matchday thing' but blimey it takes all sorts, since I started watching southend in the mid eighties I honestly reckon some of you would have taken your lives in the way players from both teams were treated. Footballs come a long way thats for certain. As for the digging of Mark Gower today, are you sure???????????

What I found amusing was the chants of "One Kevin Maher" disappeared after Bailey & Macca scored their superb goals! I wonder why?!!
 
gower was off form

Gower gets PotM award and then has a bad game, i had to tell my son to stop slagging gower off for his missed passes and wide shots. He asked me how he won the award and i told him "because he played well last month". But every player has off days.

I agreed with him, Gower did play badly but to boo your own is just plain stupid. I clapped him off but did not stand.

What have our fans become over the passed 6/7 months we were relegated last season and the love for the players who served us so well over the passed 3 years and the new boys don't deserve the c rap they take from the supporters of the club. I don't boo anymore i just put my head in my hands and sit quiet for a while before shouting my usual COME ON YOU BLUES or COME ON SOUTHEND.

So Please Next time you think of calling one of our own players a **** or for him to **** off. Stop and think, Is it really going to help us win a game?

Yeah i agree... gower has been a great servant, and one of my favourite players.. However, today he was disgraceful, and if people want to vent their frustration at him, then let em get on with it!
