BNP In your area!

Agreed,

So much of the things they say I can help but agree with

1) Bringing home the troops
2) Stop foreign aid = More money for pensions
3) British People put first.
.

Can we hear the arguments form the left against these ideas please.
All sound bang on to me.

Those 3 points are fine as superficial blanket statements, its the rest of their policies, attitude and opinions us lefties object to....

Why do they have to be superficial?

There is no indication they woudlnt do it if elected...

1) Never thought the troops should have been sent there in the first place personally. It would be interesting however if the people supporting the BNP on here were completely honest about there views on this when we first entered this war - hindsight can be a wonderful thing.

2) Stop all foreign aid? No, I don't agree with this. As a developed and, in relative terms, rich country we have a responsibility to do our bit on a global scale. If we pull out of Iraq the billions that are being spent on that war could maybe go to pensions? If we are going to spend money in other parts of the world I'd rather it went on medical supplies and helping genuinely needy people than on weapons and troops.

3) Can't disagree with that. Any Government needs to first of all get it's own house in order anmd do what's right for it's own people. However I'm pretty sure that my definition of British would be different from the BNP's

Lord football isnt it funny how with live in a country that has freedom of speech and democracy yet when a party come along that the majority dont like then its the old " they shouldnt be allowed"

I didn't say that did I?

I said "they are vile scum who have no place in society". Personally I think the BNP should exist (I've said it elsewhere), because it makes it that much easier to identify the racist knuckledraggers, they can't hide in the far right reaches of the Conservative Party (or any other party for that matter).

Freedom of Speech is great, isn't it? Just that some people abuse it.

So, whilst the BNP do exist, do campaign, do stand in elections, I'll be using my right of freedom of speech to expose them for what they are.

Maybe there aren't any??

Then again, I wouldn't have had either war in the first place.

I wouldn't have a global system where the rich countries plunder the poor ones. I wouldn't have a world where there is so much waste, yet so little food.

And I wouldn't have a world where race, kith or kin make a blind jot of difference. Oh, and define British. Is that, to use Nick Griffin's own argument, British, Romano British, Viking, Anglo Saxon, Norman, Huegenot, Irish, Commonwealth, European Citizen, someone born here, some whose parents where born here, someone whose grandparents were born here, some Russian who owns billions of pounds, etc etc. Bit messy that one, innit?

Freedom for Tooting!

That really gets my goat that does, got a leaflet through today with Griffin's mug next to Churchill's aswell!

It does make Nick look a bit slimmer in the same way that Jennifer Saunders looks better next to Dawn French than she does next to Joanna Lumley.

His suits still look like Concept Man clearance items however.

And if he was a Nazi sympathiser he did a great job of hiding it! :)

Well exactly , plus that he wanted the Arab nations to be independent in 1918 , i.e have their own oil , but of course the UK government and France didnt ... and well here we are in that mass , the resultant of which has cuased the economic and finacial instability for the last 100 years .

I like Winston he talked sense .

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

How could the Arab Nations be independent when they were amongst the very poorest countries in the world and certainly too poor to get their oil out of the ground? Were Britain, France and the US supposed to do all the exploration and production for free? Equally, all the countries in the Middle East "have their own oil" and make independent decisions now - they have done so for a long, long time.
