Bim Pepple

He could play 90 minutes in the same way that Usain Bolt **could** run 800m.

But Usain Bolt wouldn’t run 800m at the same pace he’d run a 100m race at. He’d either start fast and slow down or he’d start slow in an attempt to pace himself.

But you don’t need him to slow down when you can just bring on a sub. Pepple can then play at a higher intensity, he can press more, he can sprint more if he does it over 60 minutes than over 90 minutes. So you’re opting to get more out of him over 60 minutes in the knowledge that you can bring on fresh legs.
Slightly off topic, 200m was actually his better and preferred discipline. Often competing in 400m too.

Hi, I thought I'd pass this along. We do a podcast about soccer in Calgary, Canada which is Bim Pepple's home town. We interviewed him for this week's episode and he does say quite a few nice things about your club, supporters, coaches and teammates. If you're interested to hear it, it can be found at https://yycsoccer.com and also through these podcasting platforms among others:
