Yes still a tall ask as both Torquay and Crawley still have Hereford to play. Curse those silly dropped points over the season. To end up with 83 points and not go up automatically will be very disappointing.

Hereford will still have something to fight for versus Crawley, thanks to their draw today and our win against Barnet yesterday so it won't be straightforward for Crawley.

This makes it interesting!! Although I can't see Crawley losing to Hereford at home in their next game. But you never know!

As far as I can see the only ones that frighten me a bit in the play-offs are Crewe............let's hope Torquay can deal with them. Should we let Oxford have the three points next weekend? :winking:

Accrington held Shrews today, if they can hold Crawley in their final game and Hereford still have something to play for against Torquay.......... no, that's asking a lot.....

At least it makes the last 2 games a little interesting. Both of those teams are looking over their shoulders (at each other admittedly) but we may be able to sneak it. Hereford are fighting for their lives, who knows what could happen (just look at Wigan).

Bugger! the way things are going Crewe could well overhaul Cheltenham for sixth place. The final two matches, if we ignore the highly unlikely possibility of taking an automatic place, are starting to take on a significance that I hadn't imagined.

Out of the top 7 before the start of our match last night, we were the only team to win. Certainly makes things interesting. If we win our last two games, we'll have done all we can in the run-in and if it s not enough then we can look no further than the ridiculously bad dip in form mid-season.

If it is play-offs, then going in off a run of P5 W4 D1 L0 would be ideal for confidence and to get up a head of steam. I fancy our chances against any of those teams in and around the play-offs, we'll certainly have to strongest squad on paper.

Oxford look ripe for the taking, and Macclesfield will be sunk by the time we play them. Surely we can get two wins. If Crawley get two draws (by no means impossible) then we'll be up on goal difference (having beaten Torquay of course).......

If Crewe beat Torquay and we win both our games it won't matter if Torquay defeat Hereford, I really can't see Crawley failing to win both their games, but miracles do happen

Crawley should have beaten Daggers. I can see Hereford holding them for a draw - they've had three draws in their last four games - and they need points desperately. Then it's up to Accrington, with nothing to play for unfortunately......

By selecting the top seven from last night, you conveniently leave out what I see as our biggest threat in the play-offs....
.........namely, Crewe. They arrived in a play-off position today, unbeaten in fourteen games , claiming seven wins (two against Gills and Swindon) and seven draws (two against Crawley and Shrewsbury). In fact you have to go back to the 18th February to find their last defeat................................now, who was that against???

All I care about is we have cemented 5th spot (bar a total tonking in the last 2 games) and guaranteed the 2nd leg at home.

Now all we need is Cheltenham to hold 6th spot (Crewe would be a trek at midday on a Sunday and they are on super form)

Hopefully we'll get a point at least next weekend and finish Oxford off as well.
