West Ham, Brentford, Wolves, Leeds, Burnley & Bournemouth all watching Bentley. If he does go then so much interest will no doubt ensure we get a very good fee. Of those I'd actually prefer to see him go to West Ham though as our chances of a seasons loan back in L1 will be substantially higher. We'll see. Hope DB's still with us for one more year.

Bournemouth signed Southamptons Keeper yesterday

I cannot see Bentley going to another club to be a bench warmer, didn't read anything to suggest he wants to leave from tweets...

hopeful he will sign an extended contract and stay for another year, which would increase his value and give time for Ted Smith to mature

not seen much of the Smith lad, is he a greater prospect that Bentley?

I heard a Rumour that one of the clubs outside Barca/Madrid were interested in spain...I would guess it's Valencia or Villarreal.

I hate off season.

BBC football gossip column reckons the Spammers. I've mixed feelings if it's true. We definitely could do with the money, but it must be a seriously hefty wodge, It would be a good move for Dan location wise, but Spammers? really?? It would hurt.

I think this thread ought to have a poll added to it ' Are we reading too much into this'.......yeah, that would work!

westham will not pay money up front unless they sell first and anyway he is better than westham by far.
Not really - aside from you being a Tottenham fan how can you justify that he is better than a top twelve Premiership club who will be taking part in Europe season, are looking to appoint a top manager at the helm and soon moving to a top class stadium.West Ham is close to his home so his family could follow ad support him whilst he still has the home comforts of being close to his friends and family. Also, you have more chance of eventually breaking in to West Ham's first XI than at any of the other top London clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham.Bentley is class and I certainly hope he has a great future in the Premiership but lets not get too carried away, he still has a lot to learn and is very young in goalkeeping terms.Seems the best possible deal if I was Bentley

Don't West Ham need a manager to decide who he wants to bring in? I can imagine Big Sam might have been looking at him, but as he is no longer at West Ham it would surely fall to the next manager, unless they have one of those stupid recruitment roles where the manager does the best job with the players that he is provided and its the job of someone else to work out who they should buy.

He's played for the England U19 teams a few times, and has played in goal this season for 4/5 games, keeping 2 clean sheets i believe.

I would like Bentley to stay for another season, and then play Ted in the cup games to bring him on with a view to the No1 jersey when Bentley goes

I met Bentleys Dad at the parade, a very nice man indeed, I asked him about Leeds and he said "I have absolutely no idea where this rubbish comes from and who makes it up".....

I wouldn't be surprised if he signed an extension and gave us another season so that we can get some money for him next summer and he can get another season of invaluable experience in a higher division.

Wet Spam, Brentford, Wolves, Leeds, Burnley & Bournemouth all watching Bentley. If he does go then so much interest will no doubt ensure we get a very good fee. I'd scrap Bournemouth from this list.. They are about to sign ex Shrimper, Adam Federici.

Personally I would be amazed if we don't chose this moment to cash in on Bentley - a great prospect, but because he's so good he won't be with us much longer I fear. In fact I fully expect him to end up playing for England in the future.

Imho, the best scenario for all would be to get a decent transfer fee with a loan back for a season............stranger things have happened.

Wasnt we told he had been sold to West Ham before last Christmas and would at best be loaned back to us for the rest of this season?

With us being promoted its very possible he will sign a year extension and stays until next Summer. If he doesnt sign then he will be sold, hopefully wont come to that.

No loyalty in football but would be nice for him to give us another season.
