Believe!

Swindon away next.

Swindon's latest form - LLDDL (Scoring 4, Conceding 8)
Swindon's latest home form - DDLWW (Scoring 10, Conceding 8)

Our latest form - WWWLW (Scoring 8, Conceding 3)
Our latest away form - WWWWL (Scoring 7, Conceding 4)

We have a chance.

I've added a bit more. There latest scoring and conceding record is nearly the reverse of our latest scoring and conceding record.

A win at Swindon is a must. if we are to realise the impossible dream.

We are long overdue for a draw and i fear this will occur on tuesday, with our old friend Kanu probably scoring for swindon. Sorry for deflating your dream, but from our last 9 games i feel a return of 5 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses is highly probable. This will see us finish with 72 points and probably end up in 8th or 9th position.

I have a dream that one day, men in navy blue shirts with light blue shoulder patches will no longer have to play in the same division as teams from Northern Essex. We hold these truths to be self-evident that Col Ewe are indeed ****, and that there is only one team in Essex.

Thats more like it a much needed dose of reality. All this play-off talk was making me feel quite giddy.

In around 6 weeks we have picked up 24 points. Quite staggering. Let's hope it continues...

Now i know many of you doubt the play offs are a no go for us. BUT..... looking at the table, it is a real possiblilty for us.... we are only 4 points of the play offs and i really do believe we are capable of finishing in the play off stops. We are bang on form right now and i believe we can give any of the top teams in this league a run for there money.... what do you all think now?

I remember a post from myself a few months ago when we were not performing well saying that we could make the play-offs and I remember being told by another poster (cannot remember who) that we could forget the play-offs this sesaon, however I did NOT give up the faith and hope for reaching the play-offs and look where we are now, 4 pts away from the play-off spot and we have won 8 of 10 of our last matches, an amazing run of results. I have not given up the hope even now my mate reckons that it is not going to be possible to overtake the teams in front of us. I believe that we will go to the play-offs and i'm hoping that the mighty shrimpers beat whoever we play and set off to play the final at the stadium that all football teams want to compete in, Wembley Stadium.

THE PLAY-OFFS ARE STILL ON!!! COME ON SOUTHEND WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!

UP THE BLUES!

I've got a feeling that the yeovil and crewe games could come back to haunt us. If we won them two and we should of we would be in the play offs now but whether we make the play offs will come down to the last month as we have to play mk dons, leicester and oldham.

That's incedible.

Today is the first day that I've thought that we might just do it.

Indeed. To shave 13 points off the defecit between us and 6th spot, in just 6 weeks is unreal.
