Battrick Match 8 - The run-in begins

I'll list Clark at £300K, and Street at £500K, does that sound reasonable?

I'm tempted to buy 2 strongs to replace them instead of one superb, I'm not sure as of yet though.

An early bid on each would be appreciated just to give me a bit of spending freedom, please. Thanks very much.

Just read all that lot.

I lost. By 8 wickets. Got skittled by their bloke Allardyce ... 10-4-15-5 i think his figures were. He is a bloomin' good spinner (just look at their spin rating) and he opened the bowling too on my spinner friendly wicket. Doh. Didn't realise i was at home. All out for less than 100 and took 2 early wickets but that was it. Wasn't expecting to win, but would have been nice to put up a fight!

luckily the team I was playing didn't buy anyone so I absolutely trounced him!

Got 345-4 on his H&F wkt. Gower getting 138 and Toulson 102 both at more than a run a ball.

Then skittled him out for 45. Job got figures of 6-16 in 5 overs!

Good stuff. Only thing is it's meaningless as everyone is going to beat him.

Means I move up to 5th and now only have to finish above one other team which I'm confident of doing to avoid the playoffs. If he's been taking it seriously I would definitely bin the playoffs.

2. Vitamin Power 8 6 0 2 24 15.09
3. Essex Javelins 8 5 0 3 20 11.29
4. Lanson Dream XI 8 5 0 3 20 -0.50

That's a healthly looking table. I play Javelins next week and a win there will effectively seal promotion no matter what happens in the final match against VP. You may of course recognise a couple of those names from the SZ Cup!

Also ends a run of 3 away games, 4 of my last 6 are at home so my coffers should swell very nicely.

If I ever said I was going to sell him I was clearly just joking..... To maintain an average like that from No. 5 shows just how valuable he's been for me this season (albeit the 172 was at opener in an early cup game). Seems adept at
spectacular catches on the boundary as well! Suthers is rumbling back to form as well, will be very interested to see how he fares on Muse's dustbowl on Sunday.

If he gets to bowl at any of my batsmen after number 4, he'll have a field day :hilarious:

Was really pleased to find that I'd won this game. Inter Yerma are probably the best team in my division (although last week's opponents Sherwood are the most dangerous, containing 3 x 100,000BTR players, but little else) and as I was away I had to go with my default settings and didn't have the chance to tinker with the line-up, although I doubt I would have changed much.

I've batted second three times out of 8 this season. I've won all three games by 5 wickets, with my no.7 Ramsden scoring 23*, 28* and 21*, showing the importance of having a second all-rounder.
