Battrick - Match 1

CURTIS! Dammit, this is not going to plan. Why are my team so crap at the start of the season!!!

End of Over 13: 80-4, runrate=6.15
Vosloo 2-0-18-2
Botham* 30 (29 balls)
Askew 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis b. Vosloo 0 (FOW: 80/4)

12.6 W Vosloo to Curtis
Superb bowling from Vosloo. Beautifully flighted ball totally deceived the batsman and hits middle stump. Vosloo grins and shows the batsman the way back to the pavillion. He can be a bit of a rascal!
12.5 W Vosloo to Sajjad
Sajjad marches down the wicket and takes a big swipe at that one. He gets a fine edge though and Morton takes it cleanly, then whips the bails off for good measure.

Recovering, every additional run gives Suthers and Hot Rod something to play with.

End of Over 18: 118-4, runrate=6.56
Livesey 4-0-36-0
Askew* 17 (15 balls)
Botham 51 (44 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis b. Vosloo 0 (FOW: 80/4)

still waiting for the website to tell me how my game is going... playing a new team where it looks suspiciously like the guy logged in once and then lost interest, so really looking for some early points on the board here.

I see, good prep work that!
That's why you appointed me to the office of Scoring Bitch !

and we're off!

Welcome to Mighty united CG for the match between Mighty united and Napster's XI.

We can tell you that Napster's XI won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking slow and low. Tough for everyone. Could be a low scoring match on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

Raziuddin 10 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Blake b. Mistry 0 (FOW: 96/4)

Lost 3 wickets in 3 balls, which knocked me back a bit. Schoeman's innings is interesting, because he's only Resp / Strong but he has Strong Stamina, and I think that's helping immensely.

You'll find that with your players' current stamina your players will struggle to go on and score hundreds. Their scoring will also slow up as they get tired. That's why you'll want to try and ensure your better players have competent or respectable stamina. Stamina is particularly noticable on bowlers, who seem to tire more than batsmen, with fast bowlers in particular needing good stamina.

The other thing to look out for is the infamous battrick collapses. The chances are either you or your opponents will suffer a dramatic collapse. Lower order batsmen are generally rubbish, and so can be prone to England style collapses. Once you've dismissed their best few batsmen the rest can follow very quickly, and you may find your crappy bowlers ending up with the best bowling figures.

Would agree with YB. My bastmans stamina is only med/comp. They get to 70 ish at a run abll even a century against poorer attacks but then they start to slow considerably. As shown in my current match. good score but you end up cheering for your openers to get out. So a fresh batsman can come in and pick the run rate up again.

Ah right that makes sense

my openers, perhaps conscious of their own crap stamina, seem determined to get this polished off fairly quickly:
