Battle of the Beers THE WINNER

The Final ...Which One?

  • Total voters
    83
  • Poll closed .
I think the problem is the reasons people are voting.

If people have tried both beers, and prefer one, then we'll get the "best beer" However, if people are voting for beer x, because they've never tried beer y, then we'll see the more common beers win.

So, people, before you vote, go out and try a pint of Kronenbourg, and a pint of London Pride, and then vote. You know it makes sense ;)

Me? tried both, and voted for London Pride.

i've tried both and prefer kronenbourg... i just don't rate london pride at all and feel that as it is a more 'common' bitter it got through just like the more 'common' lagers did

Agree about London pride getting through for that reason, I'd much rather have a pint of just about any Batemans beer, yet they're less readily available so probably wouldnt have gotten far

Maybe in retrospect, we should have had two separate contests, one for best beer, one for best lager and then another for the farmer boys that prefer cider!

Awful choice for a final, surely we can do better!

Never mind, has to be the Pride.......

A proper beer must beat the fizz!

Maybe when the final is done and dusted someone should set up a poll of all the beers that reached the second round and beyond (i know we'd lose one or two due to poll limits .. so perhaps deduct the 2nd round losers with the fewest votes ??)

One vote each (obviously) and see which is the winner that way

Has to be Pride, although apart from beating me in the semi (which I still cant believe!) it must have has an easy draw to get all the way to the final. Many superior ales have been knocked out, hey ho.

Its going to be very tight as my g/f & two mates who've backed me all the way have yet to vote!

Am I said enough to phone them & remind them to vote?!! Too bloody right I am!!

Why? The cup format is tried and tested with the Totty Cup and Battle Of The Bands and whoever emerges triumphant will be a worthy winner.

I am slightly biased (as this was my original idea) but I think the Battle Of The Beers has been a resounding success. Many thanks to those who have taken the time to organise it.

This final is as inspiring as Portsmouth v Cardiff was :zzzzz: So many good beers have bit the dust on route:( Pride gets the vote, hops and water over chemicals any day although the nutty numbers is the best of a bad bunch:)
