Yes but if they score more than the opposition more often than not they will funnily enough win games. They've done pretty well so far apart from a freak 4-4 draw. A tight defence is not needed if you can score enough goals to win games. Simples.

The guy has stayed at his level. Would have him 4th choice out of our strikers
He would have been 1st choice last night without a doubt.

Playing a lone striker role isn't what he likes but he would have been much better suited to leading the line than Mooney.

MrsBlue stated Corr wasn't any good so just more evidence to back up the already proven statements that she doesn't have a clue when it comes to judging player quality. Still im sure Jason Williams would of scored more had he of played instead :hilarious:

No ,

I said he cannot play the lone role.

Cambridge are all about attack. They play with wingers. They will score a lot, and let in a lot. They are playing to Barry Corr's strengths. We are all about defence. We won't score so many, but won't let in so many. We only really played to Barry's strengths when going behind in a game, suddenly we adopted an attacking formation, with wingers on the pitch being pushed up from the wing back role, to be proper wingers, or wingers being brought on.
Last night at Doncaster for example, we started 4-1-4-1 formation. Barry Corr would have struggled to score last night in that formation. Mooney had scraps to feed off, but tried his best. I bet poor old Mooney can't believe the lack of service at Southend, and him playing the unsuited lone striker role.

He can play the lone role perfectly, his hold up play and leading the line is just what that system needs.

What he cant do is play it and score goals as easily.

Well everyone knows how injury prone corr is............just to get the injuries so early on does make me laugh tho:smile:

Laughing at anyone getting injured does not say much of goodness, respect, humanity, memory or decency in you.
BBBC did VERY well for us and is a really nice guy. He moved on and most would wish him well; it is his career, his living and how he makes his world better for his family etc.
His tax bills help pay for you to go to school & then in all likelihood your social security.
Grow up ...............please.

Ha ha I ain't laughing coz I hate the guy, I'm laughing due to the fact I and many other could see this coming, everyone thought it was hard losing corr but I think we have more than replaced him already and moved on, don't like Cambridge that much either but I still think they will at least make the play offs, now this does make me laugh tho, how funny a few people take things to heart and ain't got no humour in them.......now grow up eh:smile:
