Barrett up front on Saturday ?

How can people judge McDonald when he has barely even started a game.

Exactly, I might slate Harrold on the "odd" occasion but I have had plenty of time to judge him and seen him play plenty of minutes on the pitch. I get moaned at for getting on his back yet some people slag off players such as Macdonald who has barely had the chance to make much of an impression and nothing really gets said! At least we can judge Harrold and no one can say he hasnt been given a chance.

But Sam, is this not because as I just said in another reply, MH has the potential to bring in other parts of the team if he plays to his "strengths"? I just can't see that happening if Richie or Charlie plays. Then what will happen is the other players will get confused and we'll start lumping hopeful passes up the park to nobody in particular and the attack will break down?

You're right in that Harrold's hold-up play enables other players to get forward, but he's a striker and needs to contribute one or two goals every now and then. From what I've seen of him this season, he's posed no goal threat whatsoever.

I'd like to see Ademeno and foran get a run out, unlikely though and to be fair I'm not sure whether Ademeno has 90mins in him yet?

This is just it, I never doubt that he offers something in the build up play, I wont take that away from him but like you say he HAS to chip in with some goals. Its as simple as that. Theres no point having a forward that can do what he can and then never produce and goals, if so then he shouldnt call himself a forward.

Foran is a proven goalscorer at this level and has been banging them in for the reserves lately - 2 against Norwich at Carrow Road, and 1 ( plus about 5 assists ) against Bowers in the ESC.

In January Tilson said he was a 'big signing' and someone they had watched several times.

I personally was quite happy with his signing as I remember him scoring at least half of Carlisle's goals in any season.

He deserves a chance playing up front, not coming off the bench and being stuck on the wing for 10 minutes.

In my opinion, with a decent run in the side, we will see the best of him

exactly , well played

I remembered Richie had scored for Carlisle against us but had to do a search on when it was. Jeez, look at how bad our team was then & how far we've come in 4 years of Tilly in charge!

I'd like to think it would be Harrold and MacDonald, who were forming a decent strike partnership, before MacDonald got injured and Clarke came in.

Just look how well they played together Vs Watford.

I'd prefer not to remember that match. It was a very depressing afternoon, and we were awful... :p

Why wasn't Embo playing? Had he been sent off or was he injured? This was the week before Flavs returned from his exile at Waterlooville or wherever it was?

Embo was probably receiving psychological help after being victimised beyond reason. Okay, we was pretty bloody poor, but the abuse he received was indecent.

There's always got to be someone who incurs the wrath of the RH "faithful".

Although, I did worry for our future the day I found out that plank Wignall had signed his son-in-law (again!!!)

True.

He was the worst keeper I've seen in a Southend shirt for some time, though, so I'm not surprised he copped a ton of abuse from the RH faithful.
