No disrespect to our prolific strike force but would love to see AB partner MH while Leon's out , with Richards slotting in at the back.

Ok he lacks pace but his 100% commitment and presence should enable us to dominate in the air in both boxes.

Always good for entertainment too !

Out of interest, when was the last time we saw Barrett shoved up front?
I can remember Prior playing up top a couple of times late in games, but not young Adam.

Adam ends up front quite a lot when we are chasing games.

Id be extremely disappointed if he started there though, it would be look extremely desperate to put a centre back up front.

ok maybe he isn't the most prolific of strikers, but neither are hooper, harrold and mcdonald and seeing as foran has been in the goals (ablit the reserves) perhaps he is long overdue a couple of games up top

To be honest, I'd love to have to post on here that I was wrong about Richie Foran and he's the best thing since sliced bread (much like I now probably have to admit I was wrong about Jason Scotland who can indeed cut it at L1 level!)

can anyone answer me something you all love and addore matt harold and charlie mcdonald and to me are both very poor striking options, now you then all slag Foran, making slie digs etc, well come on statoes tell me when Foran has started in the roll he was signed for in more than 4 games on the spin??

I don't love or adore either of them.
I don't want to see Harrold in the team - I don't think he's good enough, but Tilly will more than likely pick him. MacDonald hasn't been given a chance to prove himself yet - he's hardly played.

Every time I saw Foran play upfront last season, he was cack. Remember his dreadful misses in the home game with Leeds?

I'm all for giving him a chance, I just don't think we can afford giving him a run of 20 odd 1st games which he needs to dial in his form.

My assessment of him comes from seeing what a donkey he was like at Carlisle in a few games as well as how he never set the SPL alight (which old-firm apart) is in my opinion no better than lower L1 in terms of standard!

MacDonald has looked sharp from the small amounts I've seen of him plus scored a goal from great vision against Watford in the Carling Cup.

Harrold, I'm not a huge fan of but I'm still undecided really. Yes, he doesn't score anywhere near enough goals but when he plays to his strengths has proved he can help to create space & chances for the likes of Leon & the midfield!

But Sam, is this not because as I just said in another reply, MH has the potential to bring in other parts of the team if he plays to his "strengths"? I just can't see that happening if Richie or Charlie plays. Then what will happen is the other players will get confused and we'll start lumping hopeful passes up the park to nobody in particular and the attack will break down?
