Breaking News Barrett and Macca GONE

Just cannot see us signing anyone - or at least in the quantity needed - so without doubt its going to be youth players and probably relegation again?

Tilson should go, no matter what I think of him he doesnt need or deserve this. Surely he is better off with a coaches job somewhere? I'm sure he'd get another local managers job like Stimmo has done at Barnet.

I think the days of being linked with CCC jobs are gone for now, but a fresh challenge in L1 or 2 would probably do Tilly the world of good - somewhere like D&R if the job becomes available next season.

Thanks a lot for the years of service chaps, now let's move on, no point in dwelling, this is hopefully what we've needed to kick on. Besides, if they were earning between them 5k p/w and we secured say 200k on them together in August we would've paid out 45-50k anyway in wages and we would hardly have gotten the money in one lump anyway.

Right, please can we now sign a sodding team.

"The club wishes them both well in finding employment on similar terms"

1. What's the point in this snidey dig?
2. I doubt they will want to find similar terms of being paid when the club desires to do so!!
Wow, I didn't see this comment at first, just read it on the website. That is truely shocking on the club's behalf. This club has turned into a complete laughing stock, right in front of our eyes. This is the worst state I have seen this club in, truely unbelievable.

So let me get this right... two HIGH wage earners "REQUEST" to have their contacts cancelled?

By doing so they are both taking a risk by volunteering to be unemployed, however I doubt if either would have jumped ship without offers being in the pipeline.

Good luck to them both, they have served the club well, and it's a shame that it has come to this.

Yea, both must have something lined up - or at least confident they can easily find a club.

It was just the angle of spin put on it from the club, like its almost their fault for walking out, when we know its down to wages not being paid and god knows what else.

It's so feckin' petty. Why is this necessary... it's school GIRL stuff.
I'm actually quite angry now.

I'm the same. Its a disgrace how most players gets slated when they leave the club. It makes me feel sick that these people run the club i love.

I would expect at least Barrett to do an interview in the Echo in the next day or so - unless he's been given some hush money from Rons sticky fingers.

Does the transfer embargo stop us shifting out players for a fee?

I think the fact that they have agreed to have their contracts cancelled says a lot. To me it says no one rates them enough to take them on their high wages and pay a transfer fee. The Club made no secret about the fact it needed to trim the wage bill so this suits all parties. Good luck to them.
