at the end of the day i can deffinately see what bucket and spade fc is trying to say just might not have come out as he would have liked

I fail to understand why certain people target players for a torrent of verbal abuse during the game , whilst purporting to be Blues fans. We all have opinions about certain players but telling Kevin Betsy he is a f...... waste of time (along with other expletives) which he can hear quite plainly has no other effect other than to undermine and totally ruin a players confidence. Betsy looked shocked by the comments and it may be no coincidence that it was he who missed the 1-on-1 with the 'keeper shortly afterwards.Betsy came in for the abuse after missing a header that seemed quite simple to score with.( In fact the last defender managed to just flick the ball before it reached Betsy).
Give the guys a chance and and at least cheer and support them during the game. Derogatory and vile abuse has no positive effect whatsoever on a players performance.

Simply these morons are not supporters in any sense of the word, no matter how much they might like to think they are.

yeh well took that pic before the game but saw that bloke at the oldham game and he decided to walk away very sheepish as i wasn't on my own this time. but heh he's a loser.

Personally NEVER EVER agree with giving your own players stick.

We are all Southend at the end of the day and there are enough people out there trying to give us stick and knock us down without our own people doing it.

Can only relate it to my own experiences but at 17 was playing a decent standard on Saturdays. Support was not great but we used to get 50-100 odd a home game.

Broke into the first team which was Sussex Premier and was playing centre back which was hard against men twice my age. Got picked by three different managers week in week out and yet this one old **** called Boxy slatted me. No matter what I did it was never ever right.

Home and Away he would slate me. Really got me down and despite the fact my manager, team mates etc all said I was doing well plus I kept my place this bloke kept slatting me.

It got to the point where I hated leaving the centre of the pitch as all I could hear was him moaning. Did it help my game - Did it ****. It left me feeling gutted. It got to the point where our captain told him to **** off and funny enough once he shut up and started supporting me I got more confident.

Anyone who thinks abuse will help the players need to wake up as no matter who you are it rocks your confidence.

correct thats my 2nd running with him this year, after he did what he did to you i said somthing to him as i know your face, so he swung at me as i went to do the same he run off, yet i get a warning for it dont get it

but well done for holding your own

also back to last night, end of game there was many boos from all cross the away end, and not one from the little bit we was in
