Athletics

Talking of Olympics, just over 3 weeks until the 2020 host is announced (Istanbul 13/5, Tokyo 1/2 or Madrid 5/1)

Can't see Spain being able to afford it, so is a two horse race really!

Madrid and Istanbul just keep on trying don't they!

I was working in Madrid the day the announcement for 2016 was made. They genuinely thought they were going to get it, but I could never see them giving it to another major western European city just four years after London. As a result, we decided to be really aggressive with Madrid's price and made an absolute bomb from all the Madrid folk placing their patriotic bets.

Walking around the city that evening was really depressing though - discarded glad hands and banners strewn all over the place and a flat-as-a-pancake atmosphere.

If it is Istanbul we'd definitely go as a family holiday but I'm sure it'll be Tokyo - it's definitely Asia's 'turn'

I suppose it is Asia's turn, but they do have the winter games (South Korea) in 2018 to look forward to

Great run by Laura Muir. She finished really well.

Looking forward to the 400m hurdles this afternoon
