Whats wrong with the 3 minute walk to the bar at the top of the family enclosure ?

That's a rather generous estimate of the time taken to walk it. It's more like 5 minutes once you've been caught behind some old bloke going down the stairs, then squeezed past the kids queuing for food in the South West corner. Just enough time to get to near the front of the queue for a beer, before turning round and negotiating the same trip again. Plus someone of Fasto's advanced age will struggle with all the steps up to the top of the West and then back upto the South Upper.

Plenty of seats in the East if it's that bad!!!!

why cant we get a mobile catering van or two in the car park so people can buy things on the way in and on the way out and relieve some of the pressure on the outlets within the ground?

Out of interest, why don't the club use the refreshment / bar areas that were built-in to the south stand under the upper tier?

I don't go to every game but when I do, I usually go in the south stand and can't be bothered to trapse over to the concessions in the east or west at half time. Surely its an opportunity missed? Unless there's some health & safety reason behind it.

Just wondered, thats all..

I was having a quick chat to the caterer that operated that bit, whilst getting a drink during a quiet spell in a game a few years back. He said they were losing money, as apart from half-time, they don't get enough customers to make it pay. And that was in the Tilly period, when crowds were a few Thousand more.

I think this is a good idea, there used to be one for a while in the bit on Vic Ave where the firework container has been recently, by the old Golden Lion, but it's not been there for a few seasons.

Please could you ask about fixing the hole in the asbestos roof over the East Stand greens. Looks pretty silly sitting there in the main stand with an umbrella up.

What part of the greens (seat numbers)

The hole in the asbestos roof is fairly obvious since a broad ray of sunshine beams through it, illuminating individuals as the sun arcs across the sky, like something out of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

What is the white stuff that gets all over the back of my coat from my seat in the West?

I do apologise. Tends to happen whenever rumours of Maher retuning to Roots Hall do the rounds - I sit 8 rows behind you

Drainage holes are going to be drilled down in the next few weeks to ensure this does not happen again

How about when the guttering in the NW corner is going to be fixed? Whenever it rains there's a torrent of water falling in front of the W/X blocks.

Also the massive puddle that forms where the West bank turnstiles are needs addressing still (just before the west stand bar entrance).

This is not a guttering problem but a roof leaking issue club looking into this and are aware - the puddle out the back as in my previous answer will have drainage holes drilled soon

Scott, Can you ask about the pidgeon mess in the West, there is an awfull lot near the stairs leading from the West in to the South lower and it really does not look nice at all. Aslo is right next to the food outlet which in its self can be a concern... it needs to be cleaned up and something more done to prevent it happening, as the spikes are not working!

Thanks to your question the club are going to bleach and jetwash the whole area to detoxify and clean then will be looking for a longer term fix

Club looking to get a contractor in to plug these holes to prevent leakage however it's money at the moment but I have asked Dave to get me some figures and maybe there is something the trust can do OR if anybody out there owns or works for a roofing firm who wants some publicity and willing to do it for reduced rate or free

Any chance of the clock above the South Stand being cleaned? Unless green mould is 'the look' this season, in which case disregard.

Dave agrees and apologises as this was overlooked on the last time a cleaning review was done he is looking to get this done within next few weeks

When Vic Jobson built the south he had conditions slapped on it that no food could be cooked in that stand due to no extraction system and smoke would go into the stand (another classic Vic story I am told) so food use to be carried over there but at the moment demand is low when they do and the club lose money also there is electrical work that needs doing to be brought upto code

I am told its a chemical reaction with the seats and their age Dave says inform me of the seat in question and a new back will be put on straight away

Little money in outsourcing vans takes away sales in ground which benefit direct to the club

I reckon a burger van inside the Northbank end would'nt go a miss, surely a deal could be sorted where the club get a fee from the van owner,it's a long way round to the West stand for a half time cuppa, just saying.
