as said by some others people are not being realistic. Ray Parlour may be realistic but i really wouldnt want him tbh, we have heard that rumour every year for the past 3 years! and now, i really dont think he has the fitness or skill to play at league 1 level.

Savage again no chance a championship side would sign him, and im certain for sure Savage would not play on £1500 a week.

I honestly dont have a clue who it mite be, but just hope a deal can be pushed through soon aswell as a bloody defender!

IIRC this rumour started before the transfer window closed .......I think it had been officially announced that we hoped to sign a Championship midfielder. This faded away, rather like August and one is left to pose the question.......is this new rumour, one of the same person?

Think it resurfaced again after 'J's meeting with Ron who assured him an experienced midfielder was incoming...

This rumour was started from a post on a rival site on Monday afternoon stating we should be signing someone Monday evening or Tuesday.

Here's a serious guess!!!:stunned:

Leeds' Westlake is only playing reserve football at the mo. I'm not sure if he was the player we enquired about a little while ago, but if it is a different player, then maybe him too! Thinking about it, I think that player was realease by Leeds & is looking for a club!

I think the Leeds player that Tilly admitted interest in was Jonathan Douglas, here was a thread here last week about a Leeds player being released but I can't be arsed to look for it.

Has there been an influx of cheap crack in the Southend area of late.

Darren Fletcher, Jimmy Bullard, Lee Bowyer, Nigel Quasie,Nicky Barnby what the **** are you people taking? When was the last time anyone of major note who was not a total has been joined us.

I think Kyle Reid make sense if anyone but sure it wont be any of them suggested.

I agree players like Bullard are so far fetched that if it was serious the guy must clearly have never watched MOTD. Barmby for me is a possibility just because we've heard he's 'experienced'. For me though, I think it'll be an experienced CCC man, no inside knowledge but no-one has confirmed its a prem player and I doubt anyone experienced in the prem would come here.
