I think I'm starting to become a bit of a broken record on Murray so I'll try my best to refrain from leaping to his defence.

He played okay last night from what i saw but his play at times was pretty sloppy! Should of had that wrapped up 3-0 but of course made it hard work for himself!

True, but he will need to step up a gear. At the moment, all through this tournament he has been great in some places and sloppy (and inconsistent) at other times. It is only because he is the better player that he has been able to get through the matches. Now he is playing a player who is all-round better than him.

maybe the fact some of you dont like him is because hes claimed to be scottish and because hes miles better than any english player... not looking for a slanging match.. just a curious question..

hes made his bed and now he has to lie in it.. personally think hes entitled to his opinion aslong as he excepts the consequences.. i think its breath of fresh air that british sport is relying on a sportsman who isnt english... boosts those sportsmen and women in scotland, wales and northern ireland that its not impossible to reach the top of their particular sport...

Anyhow, I would say straight sets is likely against Nadal unless he improves significantly or at least plays as he did against Wawrinka. Shame he was in this half of hte draw really as I could have seen him beating Federer or Djokovic at the moment. Remakrably only 4.6 to beat Nadal at the moment which, sadly, looks like value on Nadal's side.

I thought this about the straight sets thing but then I had forgotten about this which I was reminded of today. Fair enough Nadal was unbeatable on clay and really put the extra effort in on grass but hard is Murray's favourite surface.

Hope it'll be interesting at least.

Tie-breaks are a different situation, anyones game. If Murray has 3 good tie-breaks, he has a chance!
